We got Sammi 25yrs ago ,she was a rescue
So small and filthy
I’m not sure who saved who more
She became my ride or die and went everywhere and I mean everywhere together โค๏ธ
If I didn’t habe her on a journey my girls did
Either for long walks exploring new parks or taking her to work to meet new people and furry friends
Her passing has changed tins in our lifestyle
We miss her barks
She would bark of a leaf blew by
Her cuddles ๐ ๐ญ
Her tiny tie beans tapping the floor and if course her waiting for us to come home.
Leigh, I am so sorry for your loss of Sammi. ๐ What a wonderfully long life she had. I understand what you’re feeling and the grief is unbearable. Life does change suddenly when we lose our fur babies. We miss everything about them and the things they did. The house is quieter now and the silence is deafening.
Sending you hugs ๐ซ and I wish you peace. ๐
They are such big parts of our lives, aren’t they? I am sorry you lost Sammi. A quarter of a century that she was with you! We wish they could live with us as long as people do so we wouldn’t have to say goodbye so soon! Sammi seems to have been a full and equal family member, going with you and your daughters on trips and accompanying you to work. Sadly it will take a long time to get used to the new normal in your house. The void will not just go away and can’t easily be filled – but you’ll get to a place where you can talk about her affectionately, remembering your adventures without crying, just grateful you had her. Just like you mourn for people, and over time you are able to go on. You’ll never replace or forget her but she is in your heart and is part of you. So sorry! I am sending good wishes to you and your family!
I seen it said 25 yrs I’m so sorry it should say 15 is how old she was when she passed
