Thank you, Toni for your compassionate response. I am so sorry that your lost your Beauty Girl. Black cats are the most special of kitties and their absence creates such a void. Nicholas was the sweetest, most loving boy. He loved everybody and everybody loved him. -

Remember 3 years, 11 months agoToday was National Black Cat Appreciation Day. Not one friend or family member remembered my Nicholas. I was on the phone for a hour with a friend who also has a black cat and all she talked about was the husband she is planning to divorce. When I got off the phone, I felt the deep sense of alienation again from everyone I have feeling since Nicholas died suddenly before Christmas on 12/12/21. There was a lot of trauma surrounding his death because of the way Nicholas and I was treated by the last ER vet who saw him. Nicholas did not receive the appropriate medical care. I also recently found that that he had been misdiagnosed which has only compounded my grief, as I struggled to get him the right medical help during the pandemic. I lost my best friend and soul kitty.Not one friend or family member remembered my Nicholas. I was on the phone for a hour with a friend who also has a black cat and all she talked about was the husband she is planning to divorce. When I got off the phone, I I feel no one understands nor do they care how significant of a loss this is me. I just wanted to share my boy with people who love and miss their pets because his life mattered. Thank you for listening.
She was getting ‘cat’upuncture in the third photo. It helped stimulate blood flow to her kidneys. She was such a cool cat – you could do anything to her (which was FOR her), but she was almost 18 when it really was time to let her peacefully pass. I had a canvas picture made of her that I talk to and pet every day.

I will be opening my home and heart to another soon, I hope. There are so many loving animals that deserve loving homes. Keep us posted on how you are doing, Diana. {{HUG}} Toni
