Thank you. It has been very quiet since that day. I dont even want to clean up his sleep area yet but I know i will need to eventually. He is so very missed. About 2 months ago, I met a gentleman on Twitter who did art work and he created a portrait of me and my dogs for me which was the beginning of creating things when both my dogs cross the bridge. Mickey would be the first with his brother still having time with me on this earth. But i have been putting together pictures and portraits and have a space for their ashes with other memories to have them with me always until i get to see them again at the bridge

3/2/2023, my boy crossed the rainbow bridge in my arms. He spent 11 great years of my life with me. Even through trails and tribulations, he was by my side. I knew it was close to time and made the decision to let him go, made the appointment, however the night before his appointment, it was his time and he slowly faded away while in my arms. Although, Ive been through a death of a pet due to older age, he was my first pet I got as an adult from youth to my family member. Even today, I am reeling with the emotions and thoughts of him. Its so quiet without him and his younger brother knows he is not here. I know he feels it inside and im doing my best for both of us.

      • I’m so sorry for your loss. I know it’s hard I lost my dogs Zack on July 3 2018 and Daisy on feb12 2023.
        • Oh Gabe, what a touching story. Perhaps you can find a bit of comfort knowing you were very much “in tune” knowing it was ‘his time’ and that he passed in the loving comfort of your arms in his own way. 💔
Growing together through the ups, downs, secrets and hopes creates a very special bond and it is understandable that you are in deep grief, and that his brother is mourning, too, and that you are comforting each other. The one thing I notice most is how empty the house is. I took comfort from sleeping with a stuffed animal and having a canvas made of my favorite photo. And sharing with others. Please continue to share here with us, and at our group meeting on the 16th. (You’ll get an email with the link and it will be posted here that day). Gabe, It hasn’t been long enough for you to find mostly smiles with your memories, but please try to recall the many years of joy and love you shared.I hope that helps ease the pain a bit. I am sending you a {BIG HIG}. Toni
