So sorry to hear of all the recent losses. I am really missing Dixie since she loved the spring and cool grass to lay in and going for walks. Prayers for all

    • How nice of you share your sympathies, Michael. That means a lot. I notice the smallest things trigger deep feelings, just as you say – the grass, walks, etc. Seeing the pet food aisle affects me. You take Dixie with you in your heart when you walk, and I hope you lay down in the cool grass, too. Stay in touch. Toni

Thank you and I did post some pictures of her but will some more. She will always be my first love and no other dog will replace her
        • Michael, of course no one will, nor should or could, replace Dixie. This is a sad, painful time and one day, you will have smiles before tears. I know you are already grateful for your lives together, but it hurts to say goodbye and I am so very sorry for that.

Dixie was a beautiful 16 yr old Yellow Lab that my family rescued. We had to put her down on December 10, 2020. I’m almost 17 so she was my best friend and her ashes are on my desk. My Parents paid for this so she will always be with me. Love and Miss you girl
            • Michael, you and Dixie grew up, and she old, together. It’s just a shame our beloved pets are only “on loan” to us. I am deeply sad and sorry you ever had to say goodbye to Dixie, but you wouldn’t have wanted a life without her love and support, would you? And she knew you as her best friend who will always carry her in your heart, even when you open it to other loves, which you will, and it will break again, and you will always be fulfilled by knowing you can give love, and get love in return. It’s devastating Michael, to lose a beloved pet, and for you, one with whom you have lived most of your life. If you would, please share Dixie’s pictures with us. And please, stay with us in our caring community and let us know how you are. I will be thinking of you. Hugs…
