Carla, I am so sorry for your loss of Slingo 💔 What a sad story about what happened while he was being kennelled at Disney. The staff did everything possible to help Slingo and I am glad that you were able to be with him before his passing. Such a sad, sad thing to happen while you were vacationing and my heart hurts for you all. May Slingo rest in peace.

Good morning, Toni ! I want to thank you for allowing me to light a candle for my Romeo. I was trying to do it since his birthday right after you told me I could. I was finally able to do it just now and I thank you so very much. I am so happy that Romeo’s memory will live on with all the other fur companions here at Faithful Friends. ❤️

Toni, thank you so much for the opportunity to light a candle for my Romeo. I havent been on here since last week due to medical issues, but I will try doing that today. I also appreciate your invitation to join the meetings. I will continue to try to do that.
I so appreciate your kindness and I especially love your big hugs. Your continuous support has helped me get through losing my Romeo. Even though I still have a lot of sadness, you never pass judgement and are always understanding and kind.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Brony, thank you so much for your kind words and for lighting a candle for my Romeo. What a beautiful, thoughtful thing to do. I appreciate all your support for me over this last year and want you to know what a wonderful human being you are. Despite going through all your own loss, you have found the capacity to comfort me. I admire your strength and ability to rise above all that and extend grace to me and others.

Hi Toni, thank you again for your kind words.
Well, it has been a rough week for me as Romeo’s Birthday was on Monday the 15th.
He would have been 16 years old. I always thought he would make it because he was very active, and according to his Veterinarian, very healthy and ” should be around a while longer”. Of course, that wasn’t to be. This birthday was a little easier for me and I celebrated him all day. I had my Alexa announce Happy Birthday, Romeo every single hour and I had her sing the birthday song (I did too). And, of course, there were tears….lots and lots of tears.
So, it’s been 18 months since he left this world, and my heart is still sore. Life for me will never be the same, and life without him stinks. But, I know that nothing will bring him back and the world will keep turning no matter how I feel.
Anyway, I just wanted to mention Romeo’s birthday so I could say his name so he will be remembered.

Happy Birthday, Brony!!! I am so happy you have Frankie. What a gorgeous little kitty and a wonderful birthday present. I know everything happens for a reason and exactly when we need it to. Frankie was sent to you from your other kitty babies for sure. They dont want you to be sad anymore. This little baby is going to give you so much joy and will fill your life with happiness.

Brony and Toni, I know this is after the 4th, but I hope it was a good one.
OMG! Those temperatures are wayyyy too high!!! Please try to keep as cool as you can out there. I’m used to scorching summer heat and very high humidity here (ugh!!!). My grandson lives in College Station, TX and I’m told there are many people without AC. I hope things improve for everyone soon. -

Oh Brony….thank you for your comment, you are too kind. I hope you’re right about getting to heaven and meeting you and others….and my Romeo will be there too. I am still lost without him 💔
How are you doing? I hope things are a little softer in your heart and I want you to know that you are in my thoughts all the time. I feel you have been through more than some of us here, and I wish there was a magic wand to help erase the pain.Please take care of yourself with this hot weather. Be careful not to stay outside too long, but if you have to be outside stay hydrated.

Aww…Toni, thank you so much. You help everyone here on this site with lots of compassion and love. I know you’ve had your own losses and yet you have been there for all here. I appreciate your offer to help me with the site, but it mostly has to do with my end. I dont have the best WiFi and is sketchy at times. Also, operator trouble is part of it too 🙃
We are sweltering here in SW Florida too and I can hardly go outside for any period of time so I understand what you’re going through where you are. I am grateful for AC and feel for all this people who don’t.
Again, thank you for all you do and I will continue coming back here to catch up.

Brony, I hope you are doing better. I know you are so heartbroken and I want you to know that I think of you all the time and wish you comfort and peace for your broken heart. Yes, it is a shame that we are all here because we lost someone, but I’m glad we are here. I had nowhere to go for comfort after I lost Romeo because my family didn’t understand how I could be grieving so hard. There was no empathy. Being here helped me.
Take care of yourself, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you warm, comforting hugs 💔

Hi Toni, I want you to know how much I appreciate you. Your messages to all of us grieving have been so very comforting and uplifting. I do have trouble navigating this site and I try my best to check in often, but I’m not always able to do that. I want to wish you and everyone here peace and comfort for all your loss and I send lots of warm, comforting hugs. May all our fur babies rest in sweet peace ♥️
