    Hi Toni.
I am doing the best that I can, with what I have.
The vet office that my family uses, says they won’t be able to see her since she’s over 9 years old.I was actually shocked.Princess turned 12 on the 5th.I have an appointment for her but I am quite worried about her.
But, I will post updates from her vet appointment in two weeks,if I am able to get a ride. That is my big problem. Not being able to drive anymore and not having a ride.
    Thank you.

I called so many veterinarian offices to see if I can get an appointment for my dog,who will be 12 years old Friday.
One vet office I called, because they were a low cost vet clinic, told me they would not see her because she is over 9 years old.To be honest, I didn\’t think they could refuse her because she is almost 12,and I have never heard of that.
Anyway,I have an appointment soon. Now please don\’t ask me why I didn\’t bring her to a vet earlier.
I don\’t drive anymore and don\’t have anyone to help me…well I sort of do,but they have one vehicle each, and they work.So see my issue.
Someone suggested Waggle.I don\’t really have social media,so I can\’t do a fundraiser.I am not sure how or what to do for my little best friend.I will post a photo of my little best friend.
      • Dianne, you are doing what you can for her. I’m not sure why a vet wouldn’t see an older pet – that’s new to me. Let us know what you find out. And let’s hope it’s good news ! We’ll be waiting to hear.

Today isn’t a great day.On Easter Sunday,it’s two years on Easter when my mom died.I am a mess.Literally a mess.My anxiety is up.

          • Dianne, I am so sorry. It’s always hard to lose our mothers, and it is especially difficult when it falls on a holiday. That’s a lot of emotion to experience and you must get it out. Hopefully you will find some of the pain easing as time goes by and the good memories come in. I will be thinking of you on Easter so post and let us know how you are doing then. {{HUG}}

Good morning.I wanted to show you the love of my life who I miss every single day. This is Bessie.I adopted her when she was just a year and a half old.She has been my loving companion,my traveling companion and my ultimate best friend. Her birthday was June 4,2002.I didn\’t know how or why she suddenly stopped eating abruptly.I found out when I took her to the vet that morning, she had a large mass in her belly, and the vet said the best thing was to put her to sleep. My heart died the day she left me.As much as I love Bessie,I haven\’t gotten over her leaving me.She was the sweetest little dog in the world. She was Sheltie and German Shepherd. She loved me as much as I still love her.
            • Maybe it’s good she wasn’t suffering for a long time with the mass. It’s easy to say we know we will say goodbye one day, but it sure is a deep pain when we do. I think there are pets with whom we have special bonds, and you and Bessie have that. What a darling girl she was, Dianne. How lucky to have shared your lives. I imagine June 4th is a happy/sad day each year and do let us know what’s going on.
              • How are you doing, Dianne?

                    Thank you Toni.
When I moved to my house, she had a black, flat, thin as a dime thing, and it didn’t change size. But the Monday before Christmas, when I took a fall,I had to walk Princess. She sat down in the grass, and a few days later, what was small, grew into a nasty looking mass. And it broke open,I cleaned it out,and it went down. Then it puffed back up.She bits it,and she opened it up.I keep it clean and have tried wrapping it was gauze, but she’s not having it.Please don’t think I am a bad pet mom. With what resources I have, and nobody to really take me to the vet,I am stuck.
Waggle seems nice, but I cannot do that as I am on SSI.I don’t have anyone to help me donate to because I don’t have Facebook.

Hi Toni and everyone.Well I am finally back to normal after my Facebook page was compromised.I lost my old Facebook account, but have a new one and right now, I am not adding anyone to play it safe.
My dog Princess has a large mass near her bum,and it broke open, but I am cleaning it out every day.She has a vet appointment soon, and I am praying it’s not cancer. When you don’t drive,it’s hard to find someone willing to take you to the vet.
Just say prayers,it’s not the big C.

                      • Oh Dianne, I join you in your concern for Princess and will anxiously await your news. http://www.Waggle.org may be able to help with vet bills if she needs surgery, and you could ask them if they provide services like rides. Perhaps a shelter or rescue has volunteers to drive you? Find ones in your area by using the drop-down menu in our “Find Services” tab: https://www.faithfulfriends.com/find-services/
Social media (and technology in general) is great when it works, and a nightmare when things go wrong. Good idea to stay off Facebook for awhile. It’s such a shame people screw things up by doing bad things.
I’m glad you’re back with us and we’ll be here for you and Princess. Share my {{HUG}} with her. Toni

                          • Dianne, you really should apply to http://www.waggle.org
They pay vet bills if your application is approved. Call me if I can help you with that.
                            Toni
