Anniversaries are tough, Susan. And can be good in the memories they carry. Do you still have your kitty? May we see some pictures of both Bugsy and the kitty (and the boyfriend if you like)? Thank you very, very much, Lori. I am doing better – I think of how she was failing and the last week of her life it was clear she was not doing well. That helps-knowing she passed comfortably.. It’s lonesome and empty, but I am truly grateful for our times together. And, I am grateful for the support and understanding from our community. Thank you again. Toni -

This is a powerful story, Dezi. 1. You were so kind to bring Max into your home and heart 2.He may have been ill and you gave him a loving last month. I am so very sorry. We have different relationships with different pets and with some, the attraction and bond is immediate, so the length of time doesn’t diminish the depth of feeling. Perhaps you will bring home others, especially as we come into kitten season when kittens are adopted before mature cats who need love too! Oh Gail, you have made me cry with your own kind words and I thank you so much for your generous contribution to help keep our community going. I’m doing it alone and need some support to cover costs. Thank you for helping us help others…and now me, as I move through this truly ‘searing’ pain. Here is another {HUG} for you. Something really cool happened tonight: I was sitting on the ottoman in my den where BG and I often sat, and the remote went to “0”. I hadn’t touched it, and have never hit zero before. She often stepped on it and changed the channel so I figure her energy came for a fanny scratch and belly rub. At least, that’s what I’m going with. I really did not touch it. I always say, and I know, intellectually she was so sick and I doubt she would be with me now, and she had a very peaceful passing, but the depth of pain from the emptiness and loss of her company are so deep. You have really touched me and, yes brought tears, but also comfort. Thank you again, Gail. -

Christine, I was sick for a day after, but today is the fifth day and I am better – not purrrrfect, but better. I force myself not to think of her and that helps. I dedicate periods throughout the day to think of her and grieve, then do something to stay busy. We’re here for you so share with us as often as you need. -

Christine, I just saw the darling picture of August and am in tears with you. That picture shows so much of her spirit and personality. Will you share it with us here? Do you have someone, animal or human, to be with you tonight? I have a stuffed cat that, I’m not kidding, truly helped me get through the night and these next few days. It may be hard for you to sleep, and hugging someone or something can help. I am just so very sorry…{{HUGS}} Toni -

I am so lost and lonely without her through a day without tears. My niece and several friends are looking for a dog that needs to be re-homed. No luck this far. Everything available are big dogs or ones that shed. I need a little female long-haired lap dog because of my allergies. I am believing that if it is God’s will, then he will provide when the time is right.
It’s only been 12 days for me, and I know how empty the house is without my darling girl. Hang in there, Martha. Let us know how you are and how your search goes.
