Glenda posted an update 3 years, 9 months ago
Well, the last 2 months have been horrible. I lost Kissinger in September and then in October my precious Thomas (Flip Flop) passed crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I am totally devasted. I loved all of my fur babies and the house just seems so empty although I still have Tubby. She stays in the bedroom most of the time, she has a food and water bowl as well and a litterbox in the bathroom. After having a house full of love bugs it just isn’t the same. I know I gave them a long life filled with lots of love, but it just wasn’t long enough for me, another 20 years would still have not been long enough. I have made arrangements for them to be looked after if something was to happen to me but now it is happening to my babies, and I am not prepared. I still have Salt outside and I love him, but I am not sure how many more goodbyes I can handle. Thanks so much for having a website where there are kind and compassionate people. We are truly broken hearted in Mayberry.

Glenda, damnit, yes, the pain is so deep, and the emptiness in and around the house is so, so much to bear, but bear it we will because the years of love and joy and life with them is way worth it, do you think? Yes, I know in our heads we know they are “only on loan to us” for too short a time, but by golly, the many heartfelt moments bring such warmth and joy, you wouldn’t have been without them, would you? We are gifted with special pet loves. They are, too. It’s a powerful component to living a full life of love, and sadly, loss, but when we are able and ready, will we open our hearts and homes again? I think so, I hope so. I hope you let yourself remember the wonderful lives you shared, and feel really good about doing that again, Glenda. We are here for, and with you. Talk to and with us, let us be with you as you move through this. I am so sorry and am sending you a {{HUG}}. Toni
