    So, here\’s where we are. Darling Walter, feline, 15 y/o, has a fast-growing malignant mass where his small and large intestines meet. A dear friend just lost his cat to a mass that ruptured her intestines. She was in agony. He is supporting me if I choose to let Walter go, to prevent the risk of that happening to him. At Faithful Friends we talk about anticipating, preparing for, and experiencing the death of a beloved pet. I am crossing from anticpation to preparing to say good bye to Walter, before his mass has a chance to cause him extreme suffering. But, and this is where it\’s so terribly hard, he doesn\’t seem to be in pain right now. But surely, with a mass growing he is experiencing some level of discomfort, I must think. The oncologist said he is probably feeling it. If you have experienced anything similar with your beloved pet, would you mind sharing your insights here ? I appreciate your help and support at this time.
    • I feel your pain had aback maicoon Shadow. He too had the tumor ,the vet stated it was a blockage. He was on pain and 7 months after my husband passed hade to say goodbye by to my 3 year old baby. It was the best for him. However my heart was broken. Than I realized that he gave my all the love and was happy. My prays go out to uou.

      Oh Rachel, so much sadness and deep pain with your parting from Alphonse. You were together almost fifteen years? What a lovely life to share. The awful truth is that our beloved pets are only on loan to us, never for long enough. The great part is giving and getting a love like no other. For that we are grateful. But the deeper the love, the deeper the pain. Your house must feel empty? I found holding and petting a stuffed toy helped me. Talking to our group – next meeting is April 20th – really helps and I hope you’ll join us. And Rachel, please tell us what happened with Alphonse? It can help you, and others, to share our experiences. I am thinking of you with sincere sympathy and sending you a {{ BIG HUG}}. Toni

      TONI NOEL is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

            • Rachel, I am so sorry you lost Alphonse. The name makes me think he had quite the personality. Did he? I would like to hear how he was. He clearly had your heart. Talking about him, describing him will keep you connected and over time may slowly change from grief to appreciation that you had him in your life. Best wishes to you!

                Thank you for the holiday wishes, Geri. It’s so nice of you to let us know you, Syrus and Hex are well. My Walter seems okay but it’s hard for me to evaluate how he’s really feeling. We see his doctor tomorrow and I’m hoping she can give me insight. We know his mass is fast-growing but I don’t see that he is uncomfortable. Love ’em good and hard while we can 💕🤗

                    That is so sad, Katherine. That’s a lot of loss and grief for you and I am so sorry. Shadow looks a bit like my BG (Beauty Girl) who died last year. You can see her in the Memorial tab. Please, come to our Group Meeting April 20th. You’ll get an email with the log in. And keep sharing with us here. We’re listening and caring. {HUGS}. Toni

                      @dunner52 Hi Dorothy. Welcome to our caring community. What kind of pet was Cody? May we see some pictures and hear about him? It hurts, and you are here among friends who understand and support you. Toni

                      • Hi Dorothy, all of us here know the pain of having to let them go. Let us know about Cody or show us a photo if it feels right. Talking about them helps a little bit in my experience. Sending good wishes!

                        @acasler Hello Angel. I am so sorry for your loss of Brodie. Tell us about your lives together and let us know how you are doing. Toni

                        • Angel, this community is a bit like a shoulder to cry on. We know your pain. Talking about your loss gives a little bit of relief. It can’t take the pain away but you feel less alone with it. At least that’s my experience. I am sending good wishes to you.

                            OUCH. Sad news. Darling little Walter\’s mass is fast growing. No surgery or chemo. I\’m watching him for weight loss, vomiting or discomfort. I\’m not surprised really, but am so very sad.

                              Amy, there is no time line for grieving and I am so sorry. You will always miss Chloe Bell but can you find some smiles in remembering the good times you and Chloe Bell shared? Have you tried writing a letter to her? Maybe write one from her to you? What do you think she would want you to know? Please come to our group meeting April 20th and talk with us. {HUGS}

                                  Oh Patty, what happened? My friend Tom was sitting with his Rigby in his lap, got up to get an iced tea, came back and Rigby was dead. Literally, within a minute, and no signs of ill health. Is it pre-ordained or happenstance? I don’t know, but I do know how very sorry I am. Patty, come to our group meeting April 20th. I think you will find it kind, caring, understanding and supportive. I am, again, so very sorry. Toni
