Went to the grocery store today. While shopping I came across the doggie toys. There in the box of squeaky toys was a grinch squeaky. Our dear Ava loved squeaky toys. So I grabbed the grinch squeaky toy, brought it home and put it on the memorial shelf. Am I wrong for doing it I miss her so much. I cleared off my whole computer desk, to make room for memorial items for her. View

I feel your pain I shared a birthday with our dear Ava. Now this birthday on January 7th will not be the same. My heart is broken, people tell me I will be okay. But I ask them how do they think that. I struggle daily to get used to changing, the way that I used to spend my days.-
It is awful, I totally get itm I am so sorry..

Hello, Toni. Thank you for thinking of me. I am doing okay I still have my moments, where I miss our beloved Ava Dawn. I try to stay busy helping my family, seems to keep me from being to upset. Yes I try to help give encouraging words to other’s who are struggling. I think though with all the kind people, on here I can help keeps me going. ❤️ Sonya

I’m glad you are busy and am sure your family appreciates all you do, and are supportive of you. We have a very nice community, don’t we? Animal lovers are kind and we understand the depth of grief the death of a beloved pet brings. It does help to share your strength. I always say “Joy shared is joy doubled; Grief shared is grief halved” and I truly believe that. Stay in touch with everyone, Sonya. We’re here for you, too.

Yes I like to help others that are grieving. Because I know the pain and I look for someone to comfort me too. I hope the new year, is more happy for all of us. 😊 -

I just realized that people are posting photos of animals that they have still living and some that have passed. Me being so upset, may have mixed things up, the kitty cat is still living the doggie in my profile photo is now gone. Sorry I just caught my mistake. -

Yes. People are over rated. I have only a handful of people who are true to me. But I have met much more sweet, loving and caring animals. And I am glad I join this group. I am looking forward to reaching out to other people. And I hope your New Year is healthy and happy too. -

Yes I agree with you 💯 percent. I know the love I have have for animals, is what really keeps me going.-
Yes. I agree. People are over rated… Our pets, and other animals are so much kinder so often. Some people are okay and really good, but almost every “animal” is…don’t you agree? But, here we are together, loving our pets, missing them and sharing that. Thank you, Sonya, for being in our community, and if you can, when you can, please lend your sympathy and support to others here. And here’s to a safe and happy New year!

Sonya, thank you for that… yes , they leave paw prints on out hearts, don’t they? I think, people who are touched by pets and all animals are kinder, more accommodating and accepting than those who aren’t. There is a love and energy between pets and people that is pure.

Sonya, you did it right – all posts flow into the “Community” area, and my webmaster and I are looking at separating the two sections. I am really glad you will reach out to others because we all need some support. Let us know how you are doing. Hopefully the new year will be better….

We lost our beloved Ava Dawn Slone on 12.15.2020 Christmas was not the same today. Life is hard without her.
