Lost our sweet girl January 14th, 2021. Our other dog is missing her like crazy and going around sniffing and laying in places that she would. We all miss her greatly. She would of been 10 next month. Her and are other dog have been together since our husky was a baby, 5 years.
    • Oh yes, animals grieve, too. It’s hard for us because we want to comfort them. Keep loving on her, snuggles and kisses, and that should help comfort you, too. Check in with us and let us know how you ALL are doing. Toni

Lost out little guy, Zorro a little over a week ago. This was Stitches big brother. Missing him. My faithful boy
      • Thinking about you, Judie.
        • Oh Judie, to lose them both in such a short time is so sad. Were they older? They were brothers, but from different litters? They look like different breeds, so were they brothers by birth, or adoption? They are both really cute. I am so sorry for your losses. Toni
            • The two pics here are of the same dog, Zorro. I had a schnauzer also that I lost 4 months ago. Stitch was 12 and Zorro 14. Zorro I had since his birth. His mother is 16 and still thriving. Thank you for the comment. It sure means alot.

It\’s been 2 years since I lost my baby and Garfield. She was such a protector and he was always a love bug. They died a week apart and I still feel so lost.
              • Oh Julie, how sad. I am so sorry. They were obviously very dear friends to each other, and to you. Do you know why they died so close together? Were they sick? How old were they? It’s okay to feel bad and miss them for as long as you do, but do you have happy times thinking of them, too? Please let us know about them, and you. Here’s a HUG. Toni

                My younger cat.
Still going around calling for his big brother

                • Mary, how is your cat doing now? You?
                    • He is good.
Just missing his big brother sometimes.
They were together for 13 years.
                        • Yep – It’s so different for him, I’m sure. How is he acting with you?
                            • He is fine. A little more attached.
Our problem is that he wants to fight my boyfriend’s cat. All the time. She is not fixed. Never seen so much aggression from him. But he gets along fine with his dog.
                                • Mary, I’ve been thinking about this. Do you think the cats don’t get along because 1. They are territorial or possessive of your attention 2. You cat is grieving and taking it out on the other cat?
                                  • No he was doing this before my other cat passed.
The female is just as bad. We have had to keep them separated. They each have their own room.
They are allowed to Rome the house in 12 hour shifts. They each have their own food and water. And litter box. Plus a main food and water because we have a small dog too.

This is Gibson. He was my everything. I had him almost 10 years ago.
                                • Christina, I know. Twice in the past two months I thought I was losing my baby and that’s exactly what happened – I just could not stop crying. Tears are scientifically cleansing: tears of happiness have different chemicals than tears of grief. So keep crying, Christina. One day you will have a smile before a tear, then more smiles as you remember the wonderfulness of life with Gibson. Please, let us know how you are doing, I mean it when I ask that – I want to know how you are doing, and when you find the first smile. Toni
                                    • Good Evening Toni,
Thank You so much for your much needed words. I am still not able to say Gibson’s name without crying. Just saying this to you and saying his name is causing me to cry. I pray to God daily and ask for Him to take away the pain I have in my heart over the passing of my sweet baby Gibson.
Thank you for your encouraging words. It means alot to me. I would like to be your friend. Maybe one day we could meet for lunch or something. I’ve been told I need to forget and pack up all his thing’s but I just can’t, not yet. When I do thing’s around the house ( cleaning it reminds me of how he barked and played with the vacuum ) and other things as well. I’m by myself. I’m divorced after 32 yrs. My 2 boy’s are grown and gone. The loss of my Gibson just doesn’t feel like it’s ever going to get better.
                                        • Oh god, the vacuum…it’s the little. daily things that trip you up, isn’t it? Well, let’s go straight through these reminders. Let’s cry and quiver in puddles on the floor. Don’t get rid of anything. Pick them up and sob. Then try to get some sleep from the physical and emotional exhaustion. Then, Christina, some day, some time, you will look at the damned vacuum or a toy, and smile. Tears may follow, probably will, but the happy love will super cede the pangs of loss. Then, bit by bit, I think you will find the joy of the life you shared coming back and comforting you. It takes time, and I really think, going straight through the pain, to find the other side of that coin. Don’t “buck up”, or think you should be anything other than what you are – heartbroken. You will tap back into the wonderfulness of Gibson. I am right here for, and with, you. Toni

On October 14, 2020, I was saddened by the loss of my Baby, Bear who was only 3 yrs. old. He was like my Child, went everywhere with me and was spoiled worse then a child.
He was my Emotional Support Dog.
I love and miss you so much.
Rest In Paradise my Baby Bear.
                                      • Dear Cindy, I am sorry for your loss of Bear. What happened that he left so young? What are you doing to help yourself get through this sadness? We’re here to support you.
                                          • Well, I had gone to a friends house in Sahurita, like I always do with Bear and they have 10 acre. Well Bear ran off like he does sometimes, but he always comes back. This time he didn’t and some people that hate us and do drugs ran him over. A poor innocent dog that can’t defend himself. (Their’s more to the story about those bad people but it’s hard for me to talk about it because of Bear. I miss him so much.

I\’m celebrating the life of my 3 animals shown. The black is Bobo and my husband loved that cat so very much she was 13 yrs old when she passed we got her when she was 5 weeks old. Gibby us my cat, he was one of the sweetest cats I have ever had he lived 3 months after Bobo and he was also 13 yrs old. Jessica was my dog growing up, my parents showed and bred Shetland Sheepdogs from 1971 to present , Jessica was born in 1977 and I had her until 1988 when she passed away from cancer, I loved this dog do much, growing up through my teenage years and married with kids, it was pure love!
                                          • Wow, Wendy. This is so wonderful – to see and get to know them. I have actual physical photographs of my beloved Prince and Tiger with whom I grew up, but it was before digital. I’ll have to take some pictures of the photographs. Gosh..how old am I? ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyway, the point is, our pets are truly family members who help form our lives, support us through our formative, growing years, and are guiding lights to be more kind, giving and understanding by their being with us – do you think?

On February 4th 2020 my beloved LC crossed the rainbow Bridge leaving my heart in pieces. I miss her every day. Hope to see you one day, somewhere.

                                            • Lissette, what a beauty LC was. Poodle? She is so stylish in her scarf. How old was she? Did she and Sam live together with you? What type of pet was Sam? How are you doing, Lissette? How can we support you?
                                                • LC was a toy poodle and Sam shitzu. Sam passed in October 2020. We are devastated both of our babies gone in less than a year. LC was 14 years and Sam was 1 year.
                                                    • Oh no…what happened?
                                                        • LC died during a tooth treatment and Sam was ran over in front of our house a speeding car.
                                                            • Geez, that’s horrible. You must have been shocked. I had a nine month old kitten struck by a car and know how sad and angry it can feel. Unfortunately, procedures with anesthesia can be risky for pets (and people) but it’s very caring of you to maintain LC’s dental health with a cleaning. I’m heartbroken for you and hope you stay in touch and let us know how you are feeling, and if we can lend you a shoulder – that’s what we’re here for.

I lost my Ava Dawn on December 15th. I made a little memorial shrine on my computer desk. I cleared everything off and am buying, memorial items and putting them on there. I have a few candles, I burn for a little bit everyday. It seems to help me with my sadness. You can reach out to me anytime if you want someone to talk to. I love animals, and also care for others, who have a love for animals too. Sonya
