Nothing really new other than I don’t cry as oft or hard but the pain is still in my chest when I do think of her. I miss you, Bozo. View

Diana, I am so so sorry. It hasn’t been very long, and you have lost so many in recent years. I understand a “special connection” – the pain of parting leaves a huge hole in your soul. I hope your other cats bring you comfort. They are mourning, too and need your comfort. The holidays make it hard, with memories of holidays past, and I hope you will let us know how you are doing. {{HUGS}. Toni
Thank you Toni. I find it difficult to share my true grief – my husband will break out in sobs and it makes me uncomfortable and also feel like why is HE so upset? It was ME who raised her She was MINE! And if I want to cry he protests and says things like let’s not cry about that now. I WANT TO CRY. I feel my marriage is breaking apart because of our losses (x4) in less than a year has been more either of us has ever dealt with and we don’t know how to deal with each other either. It doesn’t help with the grief when your marriage isn’t going well either.
Diana, this is a time of extreme loss and grief for you both. A neutral party, like a couples therapist, may be able to help you both communicate through this troubling time. Grief will find a way to express itself and I hope you allow yourself to get it out. Did you know the chemicals in tears of joy are different than in tears of grief? I think that says a lot about the need to physically express our pain – it helps cleanse some toxins when we cry. Let us know if you and your husband visit a therapist. I hope you find some effective ways to move forward together. {HUGS}
