I once had 6 animals 2 dogs, Lucy and Sam and 4 cats within 6 weeks I only had 2 cats. First Sam had to be put down because she had taken a bad fall and she just wasn’t herself. Then our big male cat we named shadow died along side our driveway he was an old man but I’ll tell you when Lucy first came to me shadow sat at the top step like he was guarding his home, Lucy came through the door and shadow smacked her right in the nose. He wanted to show her who was the boss. Then we had to take our calico to a shelter to be put into a new place she just couldn’t find the litter box and Lucy at the age of 17 was ran over in my driveway. So we had Oreo who didn’t like anyone but me and Sox who loved everyone. Now 6 years later I have Oreo’s grandson who only comes to me just like Oreo and Panther and Seven and Roxie, 4 cats. View

Wow, Lisa, what a great story. You really express each of their personalities. I can just see Shadow swiping Lucy’s nose – cats definitely know how to explain the hierarchy of the house to a dog! You have certainly had your share of loss, but you keep your home and heart open to more loves. That is so kind of you. Do you now have 4 cats?
