Squid was a neighborhood stray that showed up on my game cam back in the summer of 2016. I thought he was feral, but it took me two years and a truckload of fancy feast to even get near him. Fast forward to February of 2018, he was letting me pet him and I found a nasty abscess on his little face just under his right ear. I texted my vet and got an appt the next morning. His wound was cleaned and he got antibiotics and she told me to keep him inside until he was completely healed. I never let him go back outside. He loved all my other cats and even my little dogs. I have never met another cat like him. I do believe he may have been a Russian blue. That’s what my iPhone describes him as on all my pics when you hit the “lookup button” under all his pics says 🥰.
