Amy, grief and mourning the loss of your beloved Chloe takes time. As you think of her, do you also think of the good things you did for each other, the fun times you shared? And do you feel grateful for those? I hope so because that can help us as we wrestle with the pain of parting. In our heads we know our pets are only “on loan’ to us, but in our hearts we die a little bit when they do. It’s a very, very deep and unique pain, isn’t it? I hope you will choose to think of the joy of life with Chloe, knowing she was lucky to have shared her life with you, too. We’re here for you so please continue to share with us. Tina, yes you will love Zeke forever, and three weeks is a very short time to mourn the loss of your dearest darling. It hurts like heck and little things bring big grief. It’s hard to think of the great joy and gratitude you feel for the time you had together. It will come, but for now please know our entire community is here for you with undesstanding and care. I know! It’s hard not to think of what you did together, and days aren’t the same. But Kimberly, are you finding your memories are happy and that you are grateful for the times you shared? I hope so. Cara, what happened? What was so sudden that Tank was gone? You don’t have to tell us what the “bad times” are or were. But happened with Tank? Oh Lorraine, what a sweet, nice and touching tribute to Vinnie. He was SO cute. How are Spotty, Bear and Twiggy doing without him? I’m sure they grieve his loss, too. These darn holiday are tough, but I hope you bring up the many wonderful times you shared often and relish the life you shared with joy. Dawn, I’ve waited to say anything because I am so sad and sorry, and want to give you a little time to share with you that, last February when I said goodbye to my Beauty Girl, she had a seizure in my lap. It was the second (that I know of) and it was clear it was time for her leave rather than continue. Silver’s passing is awful, but for his sake, I am glad, and hope you share that sentiment. Our love has to be about what is best for them, not us, and we would keep them with us forever if we could, but we can’t. We know that in our heads. In our hearts, we ache and mourn and the pain is so very deep. But Dawn, would you have given up the years of love you gave and got with Silver knowing the parting would hurt so much? I wouldn’t. I suspect neither would you. I am so so very sorry. Please tell us how you are and what you are doing in Silver’s memory and absence.I am, we all are, thinking of you. {{HUGS}} and care. Toni -
