I am so very sorry, Rosemary. What a charming name – Autumn. It’s a sad fact that our pets are only “on loan” to us, never for long enough. Forever wouldn’t be long enough. Fifteen years of joy and love is a gift you shared and I hope with time you find smiles before tears with her memories. May we see some photos of beautiful Autumn, and hear more about her please? Perhaps you will join our kind group Thursday October 19th at 7PM Eastern. The link is under Events. We’re here for you, Rosemary.
    • @jazzymom Jazzy Bo. What a fun name. May we hear about Jazzy Bo and see some pictures, Brandi? Are you holding up okay? Not so good? We’re here for you with sympathy and understanding. Toni

      • He was such a character.. His name fit. No, I’m not holding up so well. I can’t eat, sleep, or think straight. I just cry. He has a VERY special story. He belong to my uncle for 13 years. My uncle suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. He had traveled out of town to a wedding and left Jazzy with a dog sitter, but no one knew who she was, or where she was and all of Houston. It took me three days, around the clock, 85 phone calls to every dog sitting service I could find. With the help of Facebook and Instagram, I found Jazzy. I drove from New Mexico to Houston with pneumonia to go get him, all while grieving the loss of my dear uncle. I brought Jazzy home to my home with a little land, and 7 other dogs. He was 15 at the time, I knew we didn’t have a long time but he brought abundant joy and happiness in the 4 1/2 years I had him. We got each other through the loss of my uncle. We went through a lot together in our short time. We loved a lifetime though…
        • Oh my, Brandi. What a touching story. You paid your uncle a huge honor by working so hard to find Jazzy and welcome him into your home and heart. How lovely and loving of you. Yes, it takes a moment to fall in love and we never have enough time with our beloved pets, but Jazzy certainly lived his best life and for a long time. I am sad, and happy, for you all❤️Please keep us updated about how you are doing. {HUGS}Toni
          • Brandi, if you can, please join our group meeting this Thursday, Oct. 19th at 7PM Eastern. We’d love to meet you and have you share more with us. 🤗Toni

Tammey, how sad and painful. I am so very sorry. If or when you are up to sharing more about Rocko’s seizures, it is helpful to everyone to learn more. Also, please tell us more about Rocko and your lives together. Did he always have seizures or did they come on? My 18 y/o cat started having them towards the end. It’s terrible to see and I truly am so sorry for your loss.💔Toni
            • Negative!!🎉🎉🎉🎉Kitten tested negative and they gave him his first vaccine for the panleukopenia. and he will receive those every two weeks for awhile. If he still has diarrhea by next Wednesday, he’ll go back to get checked, and if he vomits more than once I am to call immediately. We won’t be “in the clear” until Sunday October 22nd, but so far, he’s good !! Thank you again for your support and caring. We can discuss it more on our Thursday meeting if you like. HUGE HUGS ALL AROUND!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

              • YEAH that is fantastic news,YEAH…,.must of been the medicine. I’m so happy. I can’t get the smile off my face. I’m dancing with Crazy Lucy. Thank you Toni.
                • You are so sweet, Brony❤️🤗Having you, and the community, walk through this past 1 1/2 weeks has certainly helped me – to know you’re there for us. Thank you. How are you and Crazy Lucy doing? {{HUGS}} Toni
                  • Crazy Lucy is a little dizzy. She danced with me to long. Again I’m pleased about kitty.
                    • 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
                    • The kitten vomited this morning and we are going for a test. He is on a lot of medication so I am hoping that\’s all it is, not Panleuk. I will let you all know what happens. Thank you for your caring and support. ❤️Toni

Brony, how lovely you are. I cared for my mother at home (she had ALS – not ALZ) and it is both grueling and rewarding. The kitten vomited this morning, which is another symptom, but he’s on a lot of medication and I think anyone would throw up and have diarrhea! I’ll ask about the baby food and pumpkin. Thank you for sharing that. We’re going to be tested this morning (1PM Eastern) and I will let you know what happens. If he has Panleuk, they’ll keep him and euthanize him, which is just too heartbreaking. We have become very close and I will adopt him if he survives! I am sending you {BIG HUGS}. Toni
                      • Here he is tonight! Sweet little baby❤️He just had diarrhea again, which scares me, but he\’s on a lot of meds right now so hopefully that\’s the cause. He is playing and eating. Toni
                        • He’s adorable. Are you going to adopt him?
                          • Half a teaspoon of pumpkin or baby food chicken or turkey. That’s how I got rid of Lucy’s diarrhea. In about a week and she has been normal eversince. Also kitten chow wet it. It helps fill the tummy. Just my 2 cents worth.

You are SO NICE, Brony. Thank you. He IS smart. in the 9 days we’ve been together I can see such maturity in the way we play and how he relates to me. He really is a wonderful boy. I so hope he makes it and we get to spend 20+ years together!
                            • There is an irony to this situation with the kittens. It’s not funny, but it IS ironic: I’ve been taking in senior cats and have sadly and painfully said goodbye to them these past two years. My sister said “Get kittens! Stop taking in old, sick cats”. Now look what happened. Ironic, huh?

                              • But you taking in old animals is priceless. Not many people can do this. I took care of my mom, she lived to 92. I couldn’t do it again, but she stayed in her home. Kitties of all ages need you. You are a special lady.

                                  • Oh what a thing to wait for. Positive thoughts. You are stronger than anyone I know. Everything on me is crossed..I hope it’s because of the medicine, he’s so little, I want to see him grow up and love you to pieces. I’ll be strong too. (I will try) waiting to hear positive…..I once tried to save a bird, he died, I cried and sobbed over the poor bird. Mom said throw him in the garbage can. Ewww! What a thought…it’s buried in a shoe box in the back yard.
                                  • Hi Brony and everyone 🙂 I am so sorry I haven’t updated you about the remaining foster kitten who is DOING WELL so far!! As you may recall, I brought home three 5 – 6 week old siblings (two boys and a girl) to foster. One of the boys and the girl had the deadly virus Panleukopenia and were euthanized Sunday. My heart is broken, but the boy still with is us doing great for now. The shelter doctor said that if he is still doing well after two weeks from Sunday, October 22nd, he should be okay but one of the vet techs said three weeks. So, if he is still okay the 29th, it seems he will have escaped the virus. I slept on the floor of my powder room with him Sunday through Wednesday, and last night, Thursday, we slept in the den. We were up all night Wednesday with diarrhea and Thursday he had two tests for the virus which were both “inconclusive” so they let me bring him home. He’s on five medications I am administering to address the diarrhea, (which is much better) (I’m exhausted). I couldn’t let him into the den until I could sterilize every single surface three times with the sterilizing solution the shelter provided. I worry I missed a microbe of the virus, but yesterday I finally let the baby out into the den and we slept together on the couch. He was used to playing with his siblings so I am filling in for them in the best ways I can which means hours of playing with many different types of toys. All the toys are new because I had to throw away all of the trees, balls, EVERY toy or thing they touched. I’ll try to snap a few new pictures to share with you, and will give more updates and photos of the little darling. I really can’t express how much it means to have the support of our community at this time. It helps so much to have your concern and care. I sincerely Thank You❤️Toni

                                    • Toni, you make my heart happy. I’m so glad for the smart kitty.
                                      • You are doing well too. Kitty couldn’t of made it without you. Get some rest.
                                        • You are SO NICE, Brony. Thank you. He IS smart. in the 9 days we’ve been together I can see such maturity in the way we play and how he relates to me. He really is a wonderful boy. I so hope he makes it and we get to spend 20+ years together!

Chris, unless you’ve felt the deep pain of saying goodbye to a beloved pet, it’s hard to explain. Everyone in this community understands, and I know I feel it when I read your words. Sometimes you just “lose it” and are overcome by the heartbreak. It is very hard to do move through, but we CAN and will, together. 💔💔Remember to join our group Thursday October 19th at 7pm Eastern. Toni

                                            • Poor little kitten. He had diarrhea all night. We’re being tested again today and I expect we will be saying goodbye 💔This is so sad because he’s eating and playing and we’re getting very close. I can see hoe he is getting smarter each day. I hope he is negative for panleuk, but it seems unlikely. I’ll let you know what happens. Toni
