We miss her so much passed away from leptospirosis at 6 1/2 mths old hard to believe it\’s been 2 yrs ago already
    • Sikorra, I am so sorry. She is certainly adorable and was much too young. I’m not familiar with leptospirosis – can you tell us about it? Are there symptoms we should watch for? Does it primarily hurt young pups, only dogs, or other animals? Your experience may help others and is appreciated. The people in our community are here to support and sympathize with one another, so let us know how we can help you. Toni

We lost one of our 6 pups today. He was 2 days shy of 8 weeks old. Our hearts are broken!

      • So sorry you lost a puppy. It’s heartbreaking. Hang in there…💜
        • Billie Jo, what happened? This is so sad and we are so sorry with you. What breed was he? How are the others doing? How is his mother doing – is she mourning him, too? What happened, do you know? It’s so hard to lose a loved one, and so young. I am, we are, so, so sorry… Is there anything we can do besides let you know we are here for, and with you? With my teary, sincere sympathy, Toni.
            • We don’t know what happened. He was kind of sluggish the other day. He slept most of the day after we brought him inside. The next morning he was acting like his old self so we put him back with the other, then we went to run some errands. And when we came back, he wouldn’t or couldn’t come to me. I picked him up and pretty much all he did was breath and do baby howls and wiggle his tail barely. The emergency vet we talked to required cash up front, we didnt have it, but she said it could be low sugar so we fed him some syrup but to no avail. I appreciate you just talking to me if I need it Thank You.
                • Hmmm…. one of our members lost a young pup to a disease I hadn’t heard of. I wonder if anyone in the community has insights to puppy afflictions? We’re working to align with veterinary consultations and I hope we can make that available early next year. Faithful Friends is friendly with an organization called Waggle.org that helps pay for treatment. I don’t know if they would have been a resource for you, but we will work to make Waggle a presence in our community. I’m speaking with them again in the new year, so watch for more information.
What a shame, Billie Jo. We are all saddened, and here for you any time. Here is a HUG for you.

My sandy girl left me to early she was 30 yrs old in dog years she acted like a 5yr old running playing till the doggy rainbow called her home spring of 2020
              • Sue, I am so sorry. What happened to Sandy? Is she at least part Shepherd? How can we help you? Toni
                  • She just woke up one morning and she couldn’t breath right I took her to the vet fast they felt her throat and said she was eaten up with cancer and cut off her breathing I told them she’s not going to suffer please don’t test just let her stop suffering god took her peacefully I still see her sitting on my couch today she was German Sheppard /cyotye mix. I’m just missing her so bad tonight thank you though
                      • Oh Sue, how loving and selfless of you to think of Sandy first. I mean that. True care and loving means helping them find relief and release, even though we are devastated to let them go. It is, and should be, about them, not us. I know the depth of pain that comes with this. I also know, and you do too, and will be able to access one day, the complete joy of the loving times we shared, no matter how briefly. But, that takes time, and healing, and I, we in our community, understand and are here for you. Let us know how you are, and how we can support you. Hugs. Toni

This is the rest of my crew lol. Diego the snake, Starla the canary and Spunky the chinchilla 💖
                    • Each of them has a personality I can see. I like snakes and worms, and think they get a bad rap sometimes. How big is Diego? Starla is the perfect name for a canary, and Spunky looks to be just that . Thanks for letting us meet them, and keep us updated on them.
                        • Diego is hard to measure because he likes to curl up lol. We estimate he’s about
                          4 1/2-5 feet long.
                            • Wow, that’s impressive. What type of snake id Diego? How old, and how long do they usually live? Now, do all of them get along, or do you separate them? I find this very interesting.
                                • He is a corn snake and they live up to 20 years in captivity. I was told he’d stop growing around 6 feet or so but every critter is different. I do keep them all separated although I’d love to get a family photo but it would be too difficult. Especially since Starla is very jumpy and Spunky came to us after being returned by his previous owner. For some reason he doesn’t like to be held and refuses to sit still. I love them all anyway 🥰
                                    • You make me smile and laugh with your backgrounds and stories, and I really enjoy this. Thank you! I’m not familiar with Corn Snakes, but will now look into them. He’s caught my eye :-). Canaries can be very affectionate and smart, so maybe Starla will come around in time and let you love on her, but I don’t know anything about Chinchilla’s. Do they usually like to be held? It sounds as if you have a lot of patience , obviously a huge capacity for caring, and are having a cheerful, if challenging, time. You simply must send more pictures and keep us in the loop with them all! If you get some holiday pics, please, share them. And have a fun, furry, feathery holiday!

My cat Vinny getting ready for Christmas! He will be 8 in April.
                              • Yo’ Vinny :-). He’ s sooo handsome, and do I detect a ‘catitude there 😕 I like a cat who gets into the holidays. Very patient and tolerant of them, do you think? He looks very much like my cat – I call her Cat (and Beauty Girl). She is black with a tiny bit of white under her chin. She loves paper and plastic, so the holidays are purrrfect for her. She’s probably too old for Vinny though – she’ll be 17 in March!

                                • That got a smile out of me :-). Thank you. Keep sending them, please?
                                    • Thank You she’s is the love of my life
                                        • I can see why – that face…those eyes…More pictures, please:-). I’ll try to post some of my sweetheart. She’s going to be 17 in March and we fell in love at first sight four years ago when I brought her home to Foster care for her after having all but one tooth extracted. She was really sick and is now facing kidney problems, but boy, she owns my heart.

This is my Orange T. I found him on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere as a tiny kitten and took him home in October 2003. It was the best thing i ever did. He changed my life.
He passed away on May 28 2020. I miss him every day. Things arent the same without him. We love and miss you T❤
                                      • Oh Cathy, I am so sorry. He is handsome and I see in the picture the love you shared. It’s been less than a year and there is no time line for healing. Some day your smiles will come before the tears, but that’s all in your own time. We provide access to a grief counselor if you would find that helpful. Letting your feelings out with our community may help because we all understand and are here to support you. Don’t hesitate to keep sharing your feelings with us, and let us know how you are doing. I think holidays make things harder, and soon the daylight will last longer – maybe that will help lift your spirits. I’m thinking of you.
                                        • Awww … how special … ty for opening your home to a stray baby and I am so sorry about your loss … I know how hard it can be. Deepest condolences 😢

What a good girl you were. We miss you.
                                          • Oh, there she is! I just saw the adorable picture of Maggie. Looks like a hot day. How long were you together?
                                              • She was born July of 2010 and she came to me Oct of 2010 on our boy Gunners 1st bday. She was his bday present. The 2 of them were always together. They would both chase the deer and other critters on our land. Maggie always was smiling. Everyone who met her fell in love and she loved them right back. She was my granddaughters constant companion. We miss her so much.
                                                  • Wendy, Your loss is so recent and it’s just awful how much it hurts. Gunner is eleven now? How is he doing with this? The holiday season was sad enough this year, and I am so, so sorry. Please keep us posted on how you and your family are. I’m thinking of you. Toni

This is my DAISY MAE. She\’s 11years old. Everyday is PRECIOUS. Shes \”a rescue\” from a friend who moved into a highrise apartment due to disability. She still comes and sees her. We own her ( I insisted) since I pay for medical care and feed her,and take her to the groomer. Love her immensely. She was here when we lost Addison. She \” took over\” Cooper\’s job of looking after Addison ( when Addison\’s sight got bad) .Daisy was sooo sweet like a real mama ❤. It was too cute. It will be devastating when she goes..😭
                                                • Daisy Mae is toooo darling. I know what you mean about anticipating the days when they are gone, Paula. My soon to be seventeen year old kitty is doing okay, but failing, and I am devastated already thinking about saying goodbye. But, I wouldn’t exchange the years of love we’ve had. Enjoy Daisy Mae and know she’s very happy to be with you. Keep us posted. Hugs to you both.

She made it to 12 years old. Her health was not good, at the end, blind, confused, bad hips, and my other dogs ( while living took over \” mothering\” her).
                                                    • Oh Gawd….that is so touching, Paula. That’s what they, and if we’re kind, we, do – look out for and take care of one another. I think it’s the pure kindness and love of pets that make us realize how good we can be too. Will you please let us know how you, and your other pet loves, are doing? I hope this holiday brings you all more joy than sorrow. Toni
                                                      • How cute. I can’t identify what type or types of breed Cheech is. Can you tell us? I’m a mutt myself, so it doesn’t much matter. What matters is how well loved Cheech was, and well you were loved back.
