Chris, your posts are charming and touching. Thank you for caring and sharing. I am so very sorry for your parting from Baxterboo. It hurts deep within and it takes time to find smiles before your tears. I said goodbye to my Beauty Girl in February and, even though she was truly ready to go, and it hurts at a cellular level, I am able now to recall fun and funny and sweet memories without collapsing in grief. I hope you find that soon, but it hasn’t been very long for you. Do you have other pets with you? I took care of a friends’ cat and that really helped.
