I had a neighbor who had a cat hanging around her place for weeks. She asked me if I wanted him. She knew I loved Siamese cats. I’m not really sure if it was a stray or one of her kittens that need a home. I jumped at the opportunity. Since we didn’t know any thing about him we named him Kwestoun. (Question) I wanted to be different. He was an indoor cat. I would walk him outside on a leash every once in a while. He would travel to Florida with us every winter. He got out once on me in Fl. and I had a search party of friends looking for him. I found him and he was upset that I did. lol He had gotten sick on something while out there. His whole body would shake. I carried him to his litter box, food & his bed. After about a week it just got so bad, we decided to say good bye. I took him to be cremated as I couldn’t picture him buried in the ground with all the fire ants. He rests in a nice cat urn now. He was a seal point. -

My cat Kwestoun passed and we had him cremated. They were so kind and caring. He was 20 yrs. old.

Twenty years … it’s never enough for us, but how fabulous for you and Kwestoun to share so many years of love and fun together. Please tell us about the name Kwestoun – I’ve never heard that. And please do share more about your lives together for all those years. My Squirt was with me 19 years, BG was only with me 5 years but was 18 when she passed… gosh it doesn’t matter how old they were, nor how long we were together, it’s the depth of love and life we enjoyed that matters, do you think? How are you doing, Cathe? It hurts at a very deep level and I hope you are surrounded by understanding, caring people. We are here for you, and I hope we get to meet you at this Thursday’s group meeting. I am thinking of you. Toni -

How nice of you to give Kwestoun a loving and happy home, Cathe. Clever name – it fit the situation! I am torn about not letting cats go outside. I undertsand the risks of plants or other animals (and vehicles) but some cats just want to wander and explore. It’s a toughie to balance their safety and their preferred lifestyle. I am so happy to meet you and have you share your story about Kwetoun with us. I hope you continue to do so, and that you share more adventures with us. 💔Toni
