    @mstanford1124 Hi Madalyn. Will you tell us about Gino, and share photos? Are you doing okay? I am so very sorry.

    @teeypil Tee, what a purrrfect name for your beauty – Boop. Such a fantastic and gorgeous cat. I am so sorry for your loss, and hope you will tell us how you are doing, and about your lives together.

    @karastar6 Precious….that’s a wonderful name and describes our loving relationships, Irene. We would love to see pictures of Precious, and hear about your lives together. How are you holding up, Irene?

    • Precious passed in 1995. He was an angora, the son of my other cat Cinnamon. I had to put both of them down at the same time. The doctor wouldn’t let me stay and say goodbye. I was hysterical. Not 1 day goes by I feel so much guilt for that. I think about them everyday. Along with Jasmine. I lost her in 2010. I feel guilty for her because I wasn’t home enough. She had kidney problems. Precious and Cinnamon had cancer. So everyday is hard for me. Kara the cat I have now since 2013 she was a blessing. With her also have Star. He is so crazy. He was my sister’s cat. When she got sick I took him. He is a pistal. They are my world.
      • Irene, I’ve been thinking back and am not sure it was widely offered in the ’90’s – being with our pets when they were being let go. Of course we now know how helpful it is to be together at that time, but I really hope you will not feel guilty – it may not have been an option then. We can’t always be with our pets as much as we like – we have obligations and duties (have to work to pay for pet food!) and I suspect our pets do fine when we are away. I am glad you have Kara and Star to keep you company. I know how empty my home has been since my Beauty Girl died two weeks ago, and how much nicer it feels to have the company of Boots now, even if he’s only a temporary resident :-). Irene, please release your guilt. You are obviously a loving, caring pet parent and have had to go through a lot of very tough partings. You deserve a medal, not guilt. What do you think?

        @jsiliano22 Hello Julie. I am very sorry for your parting from Bandit and wonder how you are doing – okay? We here all understand and are here to support you. Will you tell us about Bandit, and share some photos?

        Oh Jackie, I am so sorry. Watching them fail, and waiting for the right time to say goodbye is grueling. Every day you worry and wonder how they are feeling. She sure is a cutie. How old is she? And, it’s not strange to miss Boo – there is no timeline on grief and the emptiness is real. I know it’s hard, but take care of yourself, too. And keep us posted. I’ll be thinking of you, Jackie. {{HUG}}

          I know, Belinda. It’s painful and empty, isn’t it? It takes time and allowing yourself to feel all the feelings. I find great comfort petting and holding my stuffed cat. That may sound strange, but it has really helped me. One of these days we will meet another kitty to love, but we have to be ready and that happens when it’s right. I am thinking of you with sympathy and hope you are finding smiles before tears with Tinkerbell’s memories. Stay in touch with us here. {{HUG}} Toni

                Today is two weeks and I was doing okay until just now – I was looking at and talking to the portrait of her, and lost it. I know it’s okay to do this and let it out, but it sure helps to share it with you all. Thanks for being here. Toni

                • I’m sorry for your loss my friend. Grunt-Grunt and I are sending you prayers and healing thoughts 🙏💭🙏💭🙏💭. Hugs

                    Hi Susan. Today is a day to both celebrate and remember Bugsy (not that you don’t every day). I hope your memories bring you more smiles than tears. I’m thinking of you {{HUGS}}

                      I share your sentiment, Martha. It seems we find each other when it’s time, but it doesn’t hurt to look for them at rescues and shelters. Every breed has rescues and you could check with them, maybe get on a waiting list. You can find one in your area by going to our “Find Services” tab, entering your area, and using the drop-down menu see a list of rescues. https://www.faithfulfriends.com/find-services/
                      It’s only been 12 days for me, and I know how empty the house is without my darling girl. Hang in there, Martha. Let us know how you are and how your search goes.

                        Your kind words of support are encouraging. I am doing very well. I think of how hard it was getting for my girl and I am relishing the years of joy and love we shared.

                          Anniversaries are tough, Susan. And can be good in the memories they carry. Do you still have your kitty? May we see some pictures of both Bugsy and the kitty (and the boyfriend if you like)? I am glad you have him in your life, and that he is so supportive. Sounds like a nice man. I’ll be thinking of you and Bugsy Wednesday. Check in with us please. Here is a {{HUG}} Toni

                            @mfbjroe Hi Martha. How are you coming along now?

                            • I believe I am a little better. Match 5th was eight months without my Missy. I still am having a hard time getting
                              I am so lost and lonely without her through a day without tears. My niece and several friends are looking for a dog that needs to be re-homed. No luck this far. Everything available are big dogs or ones that shed. I need a little female long-haired lap dog because of my allergies. I am believing that if it is God’s will, then he will provide when the time is right.

                                          Thank you very, very much, Lori. I am doing better – I think of how she was failing and the last week of her life it was clear she was not doing well. That helps-knowing she passed comfortably.. It’s lonesome and empty, but I am truly grateful for our times together. And, I am grateful for the support and understanding from our community. Thank you again. Toni
