Oh my…how terrible to have them both go in such a short time. They must have lived together with you? How old were they? They were probably good friends? Oh geez, I am so sorry. Sharon, the first year is truly the hardest because we are so accustomed to their being a part of our holidays. It’s hard to celebrate a holiday without them being a part of it. I’m sorry Bella was in pain, and you are right – release and relief is a great comfort. It’s the emptiness of the spot they occupied that hurts so much. Will you tell us a bit about her – share some pictures? Toni -

Yes. I agree. People are over rated… Our pets, and other animals are so much kinder so often. Some people are okay and really good, but almost every “animal” is…don’t you agree? But, here we are together, loving our pets, missing them and sharing that. Thank you, Sonya, for being in our community, and if you can, when you can, please lend your sympathy and support to others here. And here’s to a safe and happy New year!-
Yes. People are over rated. I have only a handful of people who are true to me. But I have met much more sweet, loving and caring animals. And I am glad I join this group. I am looking forward to reaching out to other people. And I hope your New Year is healthy and happy too. -
I just realized that people are posting photos of animals that they have still living and some that have passed. Me being so upset, may have mixed things up, the kitty cat is still living the doggie in my profile photo is now gone. Sorry I just caught my mistake.

They were my babies!! Their mother, Shiloh passed in 2014 and they both passed in 2019!! I miss them terribly, thank god I have my granddaughter living with me because she lifts my spirits!!!

Sonya, thank you for that… yes , they leave paw prints on out hearts, don’t they? I think, people who are touched by pets and all animals are kinder, more accommodating and accepting than those who aren’t. There is a love and energy between pets and people that is pure.-
Yes I agree with you 💯 percent. I know the love I have have for animals, is what really keeps me going.

Nickia, oh my, I am so sorry. I hope this helps you: I had a 9 month old kitten – Nicki -who would not go outside, ever. But one night she literally leapt over her mother and went out. It was really odd. I told her mother (a cat) to go find Nicki, and she came back to the door, and I said to MY mother “Nicki is dead”. My mother said “what are you talking about”, but my Nicki’s mother (a cat of course) somehow let me know, and sure enough, little Nicki had been hit by a car. I feel guilty for letting her out, but I didn’t really – she JUMPED over her mother to get out, almost as if she was driven to…. It’s hard to explain how we relate with our pets, how they relate to us, and accept that every living thing has it’s own life cycle. Little Bandit must have had a cycle, a mission, some reason to touch you, to bring you such a depth of love. Please, Nickia, let us know how you are doing, and how we can help you. WOW! What a looker! I’ve not heard of this breed and want to know more, please. Oh good – post his travels on our Facebook pages : MYFaithfulfriends. Be sure to put MY in front of Faithfulfriends for Facebook. We’ll follow along with him, and you. That is very cool and I am excited to see where we all go.-

Mary Jo, I am more than sorry – it’s a different, deeper kind of loss, isn’t it? I’m literally in tears… BUT! Patches was “on loan” and you obviously loved and shared great times together, and Patches knew that.. it doesn’t make it any easier though, does it? I’m sorry. Theresa, I know… It’s not the same, it’s a special sort of empty, but do you also feel the special sort of joy you shared for so many years? My beloved cat is failing and I am destroyed, but she’s older and I have been totally devoted to her, so, intellectually I know it’s okay – a part of the life cycle – but damn, it’s so hard… -

Gizmo we rescued from someone I know and hour are right. She was a Boston terrier who got her name from Gremlins and Anikan which is obvious he was a Bochi more named after Jake’s Lloyd’s representation of Anikan more than Hayden Christensen. I Have pictures of Anikan on this phone. I’ll have to have my husband sign in he has the pictures of Gizmo
