Oh how awful. I feel your pain – my cat sleeps tucked under my chin, and twice in the past two months I was sure I was losing her. The pain is so deep… My last cat was with me for nineteen years – literally half my life – and we went through so many ups and downs, trauma and drama together – I truly understand what you mean and are feeling. But, you must have shared a lot of really good times, lots of petting and loving, and it’s just a shame their lifetimes are a portion of ours, but you shared a great life together, didn’t you? Midnight was, and will always be, your love and buddy, and would want you to be happy for your times together. Please, Dolly, let us know how you are doing. I will be thinking of you, with love… -

Yep – It’s so different for him, I’m sure. How is he acting with you?-
He is fine. A little more attached.
Our problem is that he wants to fight my boyfriend’s cat. All the time. She is not fixed. Never seen so much aggression from him. But he gets along fine with his dog.-
Mary, I’ve been thinking about this. Do you think the cats don’t get along because 1. They are territorial or possessive of your attention 2. You cat is grieving and taking it out on the other cat?

No he was doing this before my other cat passed.
The female is just as bad. We have had to keep them separated. They each have their own room.
They are allowed to Rome the house in 12 hour shifts. They each have their own food and water. And litter box. Plus a main food and water because we have a small dog too.

Ernie, Thank you. Yes, we are here to lend support and understanding. We know, and feel the pain of losing a beloved pet. We know the depth of grief that is unlike any other. We have open arms and ears and hearts to share, and to get to a place of joy in remembering the loving, wonderful times we shared with our beloved Faithful Friends. Cindy, I am sorry. What caused her seizures, do you know? Did you know about her problems or was it sudden? And Baby – will you share with us your story, please? It’s helpful for us to share our experiences and what we learn from these tragic and important causes, and I think helpful for us to be alerted to symptoms so we can be more aware of what to look for. Oh dear, Jan – that’s a lot for you to go through and I am so sorry.
How long has it been? How are you doing now?-
It has been a little over 2 years for my lil Bru and my mama and under a year for my Ramsey and Brutus. It is never easy and i still look for them all. My profile pic shows my 2 rescues. Baebe the German Shepherd i rescued Oct of 2018 and koda the pit bull i rescued Oct 2020. Baebe is from a puppy mill and lost part of her leg, koda was being used as the bait dog in a fighting ring.

Dawn, Selena was sooo beautiful. You enjoyed a nice, long life together. It’s very hard to have been together so long and then have her not be there. My previous cat, Squirt, died at nineteen and, while it was hard to lose her, it was really her time to go. If it’s not too hard for you, may I ask what happened with Selena? How are you holding up?-

Oh, I am sorry, Dawn, I got you confused with Selena’s mom – also named Dawn. Who is that in the picture with you?-
That is my beautiful baby girl bella. I got her at 5 weeks old. She has been my world since. She passed away jan 9 in my arms. She would have been 12 on feb 9 2021

Oh Stephanie. I know. It’s such a deep, deep feeling of sadness and grief. When you can, please tell me what happened, and about Spook. I am so, so sorry and sad with you….Toni-
Spook deveoped colon cancerand became very ill. He died at home, very sick that last day he was with us. It wasnt an easy death.we didnt know he had cancer till the very end. Im distraught with such sadness. My heart is broken

Yes Paula, there isn’t a time line on pain, is there? But, look at you – opening your heart and home to another love. That is so wonderful, and while it doesn’t take away from your life with, or love of Clifford, now you and Chloe get to create another bundle of love to share together.
