This is my Bessie.She passed away on 4/16/2020.
I adopted her when she was a year and a half years old.I found her from Hearts United for Animals in Nebraska,and I actually drove from Michigan to bring her home.She is my best friend,my on the road co-pilot and the love of my life.-
Dianne, that is a spectacular story – you must have felt a very strong pull towards Bessie to drive so far. That is so lovely of you, and good for you both to find each other. It’s so darn hard when their lives end and we have to be without them around. But, do you find you are smiling when you think of your times together more than you cry now? It hasn’t been that long since you said goodbye, but I hope you know that your kindness and love, giving her a wonderful home and being her best friend, was everything. Please let us know how you are. I’d love to see more pictures if you like. Toni -
