I lost my beautiful girl Paisley a week ago. I miss her so much

Sheila, how deep, and raw, the grief is for you now. Every little thing, even sounds and smells, must trigger loving memories of Paisley, and you are hurting at a level I can only describe as “cellular”. I am so very sad and sorry, Sheila. There’s nothing much for it right now, other than to feel your grief and allow yourself to be the mess you are right now. And, these darn holidays make it worse, don’t they? When you are up to it, please tell us more about your life with Paisley, and share some photos if you like. And Sheila, I am sincere when I say we are here for, and with you, understand, and care. Maybe this {HUG} will help you a tiny bit. Toni

My life with Paisley. I rescued her off the streets at 4 weeks old. My brothers neighbors moved and decided to leave her there because it was to much to take kittens with them. As soon as I saw her I was in love. She was so sunny and lived to play. She always 2as laying in my arms and my lap. When I would go to bed she was lay tucked into my side and purr as I petted her. She would luck my face and arm and I enjoyed every minute of it. She was always with me oh ya and she used to talk to me lol we would have great conversations. She’s been through so much with me. 5 moves a divorce my kids moving out. She was showed me to completely open my to heart to love and I did. She was the most sweetest beautiful thing rhat can into my life and I’m so glad I got to show so much love in the 13 years I had her. My heart is so broken and I don’t know how to move on without her. This Christmas is so difficult. I just really want her back. I just know she came into my life for a reason. We both needed each other. I’m just so glad she chose me because thinking about the alternative I’m not sure she would’ve made it back then on her own.

Sheila, I’ve read your story three times and am sad and happy for different parts of it- thank you for sharing. My beauty is not doing well and it’s very, very difficult. I understand. And I hope your memories of joyful holidays you shared bring you a peace and happiness that is stronger than your grief. Paisley would want you to think of her with nothing but love and joy, don’t you think?

Absolutely she brought me such joy and love and I’m remembering her as that. She was the best and most soul that I’ve met

I know, Compere. The holidays make everything so much more intense, and sad to be without your Kee. Perhaps you can spend a few moments each day thinking of the many gifts you shared – the fun times playing, and sessions petting and loving. If you would find comfort in creating a memorial for Kee, we are making them available for only $20. because we know how meaningful that can be, and how hard the holidays are. I have gifted my friends personalized ornaments of their pets that they really treasure (you can find in our shop). And mainly, please share your feelings with us as often as you need and want. We are here with sympathy and understand the depth of grief. You are always welcome to share more pictures with us, too. I am so, so sorry, Compere, and will be thinking of you. {HUG} -

Amy, I am so sorry and really feel your loss, especially because he looks so much like my girl – she’s going to be 18 in March and has a bunch of health challenges, and every day I anticipate she won’t wake up….I am so sad for your parting from Hocus Pocus (cool name), and know the holidays exacerbate and increase the memories. Oh Martha, I am so sorry. And I understand, we all do – it hasn’t been very long and holidays make everything so much more intense. I would be surprised if you WEREN’T crying still. Even if you don’t host the holiday, can you have your family with you? I’m sure they understand, don’t they? Maybe you could go to them this year…..Well, I’ll be here all holiday season so you feel welcome to share with us here. And, I have been, and will be thinking of you. Toni-
I will be my family Christmas morning for brunch at my niece ‘s. But, I usually have them Gere sometime between Christmas and New Years. I am not doing that this year. Just can’t get the house ready and prepare the meal.-

I’m okay. Her crossing was just over 4 months ago! She was my heart dog, and we had 15½ glorious years together! I joined to post a candle in her honor.

Thank you for sharing your touching story with us, Randy. My sister’s dog had cancer and she made the loving, generous choice to let him go peacefully, as you did with Ranger. You were thinking only of what was best for him, at the expense of your own feelings. We’ll never know what happened to Axel. It sounds as if something was wrong with him, and yes, maybe whatever it was, was compounded by his grief….we don’t know. But I am sure they DID enjoy a wonderful life full of love and joy with you. Please always feel welcome to share with us, and if you open your hearts and home to more loves, we’d love to hear about them, and see photos. And Randy, if you read posts that move you, please share your sympathies and comfort with others – it means so much. I am glad you are in our caring community. Toni -
