  Thank you Toni!! Alphonse was a 14yr old Tuxedo cat who passed on March 5th 2023 and was born on April 11th 2008.He was my only pet and my best friend! I’m lost without him 😔

  Oh Rachel, so much sadness and deep pain with your parting from Alphonse. You were together almost fifteen years? What a lovely life to share. The awful truth is that our beloved pets are only on loan to us, never for long enough. The great part is giving and getting a love like no other. For that we are grateful. But the deeper the love, the deeper the pain. Your house must feel empty? I found holding and petting a stuffed toy helped me. Talking to our group – next meeting is April 20th – really helps and I hope you’ll join us. And Rachel, please tell us what happened with Alphonse?   Rachel, I am so sorry you lost Alphonse. The name makes me think he had quite the personality. Did he? I would like to hear how he was. He clearly had your heart. Talking about him, describing him will keep you connected and over time may slowly change from grief to appreciation that you had him in your life. Best wishes to you!

Thank you for the holiday wishes, Geri. It’s so nice of you to let us know you, Syrus and Hex are well. My Walter seems okay but it’s hard for me to evaluate how he’s really feeling. We see his doctor tomorrow and I’m hoping she can give me insight. We know his mass is fast-growing but I don’t see that he is uncomfortable. Love ’em good and hard while we can 💕🤗

That is so sad, Katherine. That’s a lot of loss and grief for you and I am so sorry. Shadow looks a bit like my BG (Beauty Girl) who died last year. You can see her in the Memorial tab.   Angel, this community is a bit like a shoulder to cry on. We know your pain. Talking about your loss gives a little bit of relief. It can’t take the pain away but you feel less alone with it. At least that’s my experience. I am sending good wishes to you.

OUCH. Sad news. Darling little Walter\’s mass is fast growing. No surgery or chemo. I\’m watching him for weight loss, vomiting or discomfort. I\’m not surprised really, but am so very sad.

Amy, there is no time line for grieving and I am so sorry. You will always miss Chloe Bell but can you find some smiles in remembering the good times you and Chloe Bell shared? Have you tried writing a letter to her? Maybe write one from her to you? What do you think she would want you to know? Please come to our group meeting April 20th and talk with us. {HUGS}

Oh Patty, what happened? My friend Tom was sitting with his Rigby in his lap, got up to get an iced tea, came back and Rigby was dead. Literally, within a minute, and no signs of ill health. Is it pre-ordained or happenstance? I don’t know, but I do know how very sorry I am. Patty, come to our group meeting April 20th. I think you will find it kind, caring, understanding and supportive. I am, again, so very sorry. Toni

Lena, Shadow was sooo handsome. My BG was a black cat (you can see her pictures in the Memorial tab) and she was 18 when we said goodbye lat year. I can totally fall in love with Shadow with you, and am so very sad and sorry for your parting. It seems you and Shadow spent half his life together and isn’t that wonderful? I was only with BG for five of her 18 years, and they were golden. I hope you can think of the good, and great life you and Shadow shared, and that your memories bring you joy and smiles. And please Lena, join us April 20th in our group meeting to talk about Shadow with us. We’re thinking of you, with heartfelt sympathy. Toni

Oh how precious, Kristina. It hurts so deeply, doesn’t it? I am so very sorry. It’s hard that our beloved pets are only “on loan” to us, never for long enough. I hope you can find some comfort knowing you and Digger shared a wonderful life. We’re here for you so keep sharing with us, and please join our group meeting April 20th.
