Joy, I am just so sad and sorry for your parting from Zoey. What a darling girl. Ouch. You ache in places you didn’t know existed, don’t you? That’s the depth, strength and power of love. Aren’t we lucky to have such love, but now you have to move through the terrible loss. I am just so sorry, and hope you will find joy in knowing the life and love you shared was absolutely a gift for you both, to be treasured and remembered with joy. 💔Toni -

I am with you, Beth. My beautiful girl was so unwell I granted her peace and relief. I felt good about that, but when I came home, knowing she was never going to be here, it was devastating. To me, that is what pet loving is – knowing in our minds one day we will have to say goodbye, and then one day, enduring the deeply felt pain of parting. Your words really touch me because I am, and have been, feeling what you are. A mix of soulful pain for the loss, and a tremendous joy for the times of love and joy. Beth, I am, we are. so sorry. Yes, the anniversaries bring up strong memories and emotions. How sweet to get a “jingle”. I hope that comforts you. We say it all the time, because it’s true – they are never with us long enough, and the stronger the love the deeper the pain. You are lucky to have Mae and Sheba to share your love now, and Raina is surely happy for your generosity in opening your home and heart to them. Light another candle for Raina on the anniversary, and don’t forget to celebrate the day you met, too! There was a lot of joy in between those dates. Toni -

You are so kind and thoughtful, Martha. I really appreciate that. I am delighted, and quite surprised that Walter is doing okay. It’s really tough knowing he has the mass, and I watch him like a hawk for signs he is in distress, but he’s playing a little with me, sleeping A LOT, eating and doing okay. What a surprise and gift. Faith, I am so sorry. Had Jojo been unwell? I am among many who kind of hope our beloved, if ill, will pass away in their sleep so we don’t have to make the decision to help them along. Neither is easy and no matter how long we’ve been together, we always wish for more times to share. My BG was quite unwell and I know letting her pass peacefully was in her best interest, but I still miss her a year later, and always will, but mt memories are happy and I am grateful she was in my life. I hope, with time, YOUR memories bring you smiles. Please let us know how you are coming along and feel welcome to tell us more about Jojo, and share some pictures of him.
