Oh Cindy, I am so very sorry and sad for your parting from JJ. It hurts like nothing else, doesn’t it? We understand and are here for you to spill it all out with. What kind of pet was JJ? May we see some pictures and hear about your lives together? Do you have someone with you to share with? Please tell us more, and know we are here to support you as you travel this painful road. Yes, Shirley, this is what we get when we open our hearts and homes to a beloved baby. We know going in that one day we will have to say goodbye, but we expose our underbelly, and love without restraint. Is that about right? We want our faithful friends to be with us forever, but they are only “on loan” to us – never for long enough. Mya was, and will always be, a part of you, your thoughts and your being. Isn’t that lovely when you think of it? To have shared a loving life together. Now is the truly devastating, painful part of parting. I have to believe Mya would want you to be happy for your life together, that Mya is grateful for your care and love, and wishes you only more love in your life. What do you think, Shirley? Wow, this is so hard, Marilyn, losing such a dear, close and important friend after so many years together. I am so terribly sorry and saddened for you. 25 years! My goodness, how grand for Bandit, and for you. We want to have our beloved pets forever but they are ony on loan to us. You got to share 14 wonderful years and now it’s time to wander through the difficult and painful process of grieving, eventually healing. We atr jere for you with sympathy and understanding. Melinda, how nice of you to take the time to share your beautiful family with us. Thank you.🤗. It is so very hard, sad and heartbreaking to love so much and so deeply, then have to say goodbye. But as we know in our heads, every leaf falls from the tree – we all pass one day and make way for new life – but in our hearts, we are broken. 💔. I hope you will continue to share with us and, if you see a post, or posts, that touch you, that you will extend your own sympathy and understanding to others in our community. It means so much. Thank you. I’m doing OK.
I adopted Woogie from a shelterin MN. He was just a kitten when I went to check out the kitties. I remember he decided to climb up on my shoulders and I just knew he was the one. I ended up adopting him along with another kitty. They got along great. Woogie was the quiet type, hiding when people came etc. He also was go with the flow cat. Never bothered him when I got a dog, rats or a rabbit. He came with each time I had to move and never phased him.
He was my cuddler, comforter. We were together 17 of his 18 1/2 yrs here on earth. -
Stacey, I am so sorry for your loss of Woogie 💔 He sounded like a wonderful boy and I know your heart is broken. I wish there was something I could say to ease your pain. Sending you hugs 💔

Melinda, I am so sorry. It’s shocking to have a rapid decline in health – it doesn’t give us time to prepare ourselves, not that anticipating is easy, but at least we know something is coming. So Otto and Ava knew each other? And Ava was Addie’s mother. You truly were a Family and yes, this is very difficult, losing two of them now. Again, I am so sorry. Even though we know, in our heads, that one day we will have to say goodbye, in our hearts and souls, we are broken 💔 Please light a candle for Ava, too. We’d love to see her, and here more about Ava and Otto, and we’d love to share happy times with Addie. We’re here for you Melinda, so stay in touch with us. {{BIG HUGS}} Toni -

This is just GRAND! Congratulations to you and Blu, Brandy 💕. I’m reluctant to recommend adopting until a person is ready and willing to open their heart and home again, but 10 days after my beloved BG died, Boots came into my life and I can tell you he turned me around. I gained the perspective that while “all leaves fall from the tree”, there is new life and love looking for us. So even though I wasn’t “ready” at the time, I am very grateful Boots came along to heal me. And yes, Bella may have had a hand in bringing you and Blu together. I am excited, as I know we all are, to see little Blu and his antics!! Please share more of your lives together with. If you can join us tonight, our group would love to meet Blu. Patricia, I am so sorry. It can sure feel as if you will never heal. I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it through losing my BG, but with time, understanding support, and seeing pictures and stories about young animals, we do crawl through the pain. Being around other pets helped me, too. Do you have friends or family with pets you can visit?There is no specified time for healing, and I hope you will soon find smiles before tears with your memories. Bandit was my world and faithful companion for 14 of his 25 years he was my lifesaver several times when ending it all seemed the right solution he saved me

Marilyn, I am sorry for your loss of Bandit 💔 I understand what you mean about Bandit being you faithful companion and being your world. My Romeo was the same for me and saved my life too.
