@catlover Hello Alma. Were Tiger and Ariel cats? My first cat was named Tiger so I have sweet memories of that name. Will you tell us about them, share some pictures, and please, let us know how you are doing.

Elaine, welcome to Colorado. Animals are very special and important here (and everywhere), and your loving spirit will be embraced. When you get here, let me know, and I may be able to introduce you to a shelter or rescue near you. I’ll put my phone number below. What a proud and handsome fellow Riley was. What breed? How old? RILEY WAS ONLY 3YRS4MOS OLD . YORKSHIRE TERRIER . We were only together for 2.5 yes. But it seemed like a lifetime. He will always be # 1 in my heart…when I get to Colorado I will be sending for his little brother (same mom and dad just different litter) little Jesse is 11 weeks old..he will never take Rileys place but I hope he will fill the void

Ann, I had noted that today is your one year anniversary in my calendar, and want to let you know how well I understand the meaning and impact an anniversary has. It brings up so many memories, thoughts, and most of all, feelings. Is Cassie also missing Kairi? I hope you girls lent each other strength today, as you always do, I suspect. And please know that I, and many others, are thinking of you with heartfelt, sincere sympathy, and hope for happy memories. As you know, my old girl is black and looks like Kairi, and I deeply share your pain. I hope this little HUG gives you and Cassie a tiny bit of comfort. Toni-
Cassie never knew Kairi. I got her on May 28th of last year, she was born on the 23rd of March. Somehow I thought it might be an omen. When I took Cassie in for her first checkup I told the vet that if I had to wait till the pain of losing Kairi went away, I would never get another cat. Sometimes the hurt is hard to bare, but I decided to get Cassie and give her a forever home and all the love I have. Kairi will always be with me. I still miss her. 😔

When Carmel passed o ended up getting a kitten for Sweetness because Sweetness was lonely and looking for Carmel. It Sweetness a lot. Sweetness was sick for 3 days in December and I thought I was going to lose her too but with my quick thinking and nursed her back to health and she was better by her 6 birthday it she was healthy it was all the stress from moving and getting her a kitten. I don’t know if it’s true or not hat cats can see spirits and ghost and she has been pawing at the ceiling but nothing is there . Sweetness wouldn’t eat for a few days after Carmel’s passing. I ate but not much and it’s I’m having a hard time still. She well always be in your heart

Ack…I am crying reading these because my old, black cat is failing and I anticipate her passing (maybe she can hang in) and I am so sorry for all of our goodbyes…But intellectually, aren’t we so enriched to have so much love in our lives? There are not many sources of total, committed, sweet, kind accepting love out there, and we are so fortunate to have had it in ours. And we gave the same to them – total love and care. We are walking through this together and I am grateful for our friends in this community. We are creating a separate Memorials area in our community and will be sharing more about that in the near future. I think it will be a special place and way to keep our beloved faithful friends with us. Hugs, Toni -

You are so nice to say that, Rebecca. I am not sure how much my beautiful girl has left in her. She has a progressive internal disease that we are treating with antibiotics, high blood pressure – OH! you need to know this – she suddenly went blind because of that and we got her on medicine soon enough and she can se again! Plus hyper-thyroidism…. She is the kindest, smartest, most loving cat and I we are plodding along. She seems happy and comfortable but I am always borderline sad, knowing how her little body is falling apart….know what I mean? But, we constantly pet and love and spend every moment we can together, so good for us! Thank YOU for your understanding and caring 🙂 -

By the way, Rebecca, I just love these two pictures of Prissy Pricilla – I can feel her personality in them. My girl just turned 17 and we are treating a series of ailments. My last cat was 19 when we had to say goodbye.-

Oh no, Cheryl. It must have been shocking when Daisy had her seizure. Hopefully her passing was as easy as it could be. I am so sorry. You are a kind person to bring Katie into your home and I an sure you and Daisy both missed her. Gosh, February has been a sad month for you and I am glad you are here in our caring community. The house IS different without them. And seeing something of theirs can bring on the tears, can’t it? Please let your thoughts and feelings flow-we’re here for you and will be thinking of you.-
It’s very hard without her it’s so quiet no tippy tap on the floor I miss her so much 😢 Feb is a terrible month for me thank you for your kind words I appreciate them💔😢

Wow, what a lovely, long life Prissy Pricilla enjoyed with you. Thank you for the story about her name. I often wonder how pets get their names and yours is a really fun explanation. I know you miss her but how lovely you had so much time together. Please share your sympathy for others in our community if you like. It helps to know we are here for one another. I am so sorry to hear this about Roxie, Mattie. Her passing was unexpected and I wonder if you found out what happened? She’s so cute – what breed/s was she? It hasn’t been very long and there is no time line for grief, but I hope you find smiles before tears soon. Please let us know how you are coming along. -
