Of course you are missing Dexter D. It’s only been a few days since you parted. You will always miss him, and with time, you will have smiles before tears with his memories. We are creating a Memorials area for the community and when it’s up and running, that will be a nice living tribute for you. Can you find something to do to take your attention for the next few days or weeks? Keep letting us know how you are coming along, Sherri. Hugs -

Dawn, I can’t imagine how awful that was, and the memories still are. You are the second community member who lost pets to fire. Your story is a powerful reminder to post in our doors and windows: PETS in HOUSE. How many, and what types, i.e. cats, dogs, birds, etc. This alerts the fire rescue. And you are not alone in finding solace and support through difficult life events in the loving company of our beloved pets. I am glad you found our caring community, and hope you will keep us posted on what’s going on with you. Oh Susan, this is so true and wonderful. Thank you for sharing it. It’s so hard to suffer the grief of parting from our beloved faithful friends, and this reminds me of the future joys and love ahead when we are able to open our hearts again. I have a tear now. My cat is older and we are treating several challenges, and I appreciate this reminder that one day, when she is gone, I can open myself to a new sweet soul. -
