Oh Valerie ๐ What a nice thing you have done. What is his name? He’s gorgeous. And yes, big! Patch owns her place in your heart and always will – other loves don’t displace that. But how big-hearted you are to make room for another love. Thank you for sharing. You must keep us posted on how you are, and your adventures with the new pup!-
Ty 😊 Casper is a big boob 😂 Patch is happy too I feel it and so does Casper. He’s constantly carrying one of her toys 🤗not his own and he came with plenty! Patch will NEVER be replaced none of them can be. I still cry and miss her so much he’s just helping me deal a little better by sharing more love.

Lori, you are so kind to keep Snowball with us. Did you figure out how to share pictures with us? There is a camera icon on the bottom left of the sign in box and you can upload through there. Email me if you still can’t do it. I’d love to see pictures and hear more stories. HUGS -

I am definitely thinking of them and poor little Caly. This is a trip no one wants to make, and while intellectually we know it is the kindest, most loving thing for Caly, it is emotionally devastating. They are very lucky to have you be such a supportive, caring child. Please share our sympathies, and let us know how they are doing, Aleshia.-
Thank you so much for your reply and comforting words. They really mean a lot and are greatly appreciated.
-
Aleshia, How are your parents doing now? And you?
-
Thank you so much for asking. I appreciate it. They are doing ok and so am I. It is definately an adjustment and something we will all deal with for a very long time. Both of my daughters also feel really bad as well. Caly was a wonderful part of all of our live and we will always miss her.

Hi Jill. It’s been four months today since you and Miss Kitty parted – isn’t it? I’ve been thinking of you and hoping you are doing a bit better with her memories, and those of Gizmo? Please let us know. Toni -

Karen, You are so right to go straight through the memory and pain, to reach the memories of joy, happiness and the great love you shared. What a gift you gave each other, right? Love is a messy thing – especially with our beloved pets. It’s a deep feeling with extremes of joy and sorrow, but the joys win out over time. Thank you for sharing with us, and please share your special insights on healing with us, Karen. Hugs -

Oh Boy, Valerie, I get you. I share your feelings when I read about our friends and losses. I so often cry when I I read about the beloved pets who mean so very, very, much to each us.. ….That’s why we are here and why you, and our community, are here – to share and understand, and support one another. Patch is a part of our memories, a part of our home now too. I think it’s loving, and generous and so kind of you to ready yourself to bring another faithful friend into your life. I am so excited to meet your new fur baby ๐ You are a delightful animal friend and pet lover. Tell us and share with us when you bring your new baby home. We all get to share your joy! -

Ohhh…Michele, what a sweet picture. It’s a sad, sweet, happy feeling to have our loves with us, just not “with” us, isn’t it? It’s so hard that they are only on loan to us, but what true, deep, everlasting joy to have shared our lives and times.. Thank you for sharing all of your kindness with us… -

Michael, of course no one will, nor should or could, replace Dixie. This is a sad, painful time and one day, you will have smiles before tears. I know you are already grateful for your lives together, but it hurts to say goodbye and I am so very sorry for that. -

You are so kind to extend your Easter wishes to us, Valerie. Thank you. How are you doing with your missing Patch? Are you still keeping her special chair for her? Your kind words to others mean so much, especially coming from you, who understand so well the pain of parting. Hugs to You.-
Ty. I had a bit of hard time like so many of us but I tried to concentrate on the happy times. This was first holiday without our my little girl. I will keep that chair till it falls in floor 😂 along with her favorite toy dam $tree monkey.. I gave her a piece a piece of ham in that chair yesterday and I could feel her smile. Although neighbors that got together with me are convinced I’m weird 😁

Cheryl, You did what you had to do by going to work. Any other day you would have come home to Daisy – right? I don’t understand why you think you would have known to stay home that particular day. Are you blaming yourself without reason? I totally get that – I think we all do – what we could have done differently….but Cheryl, how would you have known? How old was she? You thought you had another five years, so was she young? I am so very sorry and sad for Daisy and for you, but I also want you to know she had her path to follow and there is only so much we can do. I don’t think I am expressing myself adequately, but I hope you get what I am trying to say. You have my heartfelt sympathy.-
I just feel if I hadn’t gone to work that day I could have gotten her to the vet it’s just the way I feel. Daisy just turned 13 on Dec 1st very healthy girl thenl the seizures started I was always on edge after her 1st one wondering what would happen if I wasn’t home and I guess I found out the hard way
-
Cheryl, I’m sure you gave Daisy a wonderful life and she wouldn’t have wanted you to carry your guilt of not being with her the day she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Take comfort in knowing that Daisy will always live in your memory.

Pamela, Oh my goodness! What a darling Pepper Louise was :-)… What a tragic story – may I ask what happened? Had she been ill, or was she elderly? What breed/s was Pepper Louise? I am so sorry, Pamela.-
She got sick Labor Day night. She was about 12 years old. The vet thought she was part shi tzu.

Sandra, Mindy was a pretty girl. I am sorry you had to say goodbye. Of course you are still having a hard time, Sandra – it’s only been a month, and we hope as time passes, pain eases, which it will, but that’s not really helpful right now while you are going through the process of loss and the attendant grief. What are you doing to help yourself get through this? Cleaning out her things, or donating them? Exercising or talking with family and friends? How can we help you – that’s why we are here. Sending you a HUG… -

Michael, you and Dixie grew up, and she old, together. It’s just a shame our beloved pets are only “on loan” to us. I am deeply sad and sorry you ever had to say goodbye to Dixie, but you wouldn’t have wanted a life without her love and support, would you? And she knew you as her best friend who will always carry her in your heart, even when you open it to other loves, which you will, and it will break again, and you will always be fulfilled by knowing you can give love, and get love in return. It’s devastating Michael, to lose a beloved pet, and for you, one with whom you have lived most of your life. If you would, please share Dixie’s pictures with us. And please, stay with us in our caring community and let us know how you are. I will be thinking of you. Hugs…-
Thank you and I did post some pictures of her but will some more. She will always be my first love and no other dog will replace her
