Taking it one day at a time I miss my girl so very much but I know she\’s not in any more pain now she\’s at the bridge with her siblings whole and healthy again and I\’ll see her again someday along with her siblings 😢💔
    • Cheryl, I know you are hurting. I am too. And yes your baby is on the steps of the bridge or very close by waiting for you. She probably has been down to see how you are doing. Since my Buddy beagle passed I have felt him laying behind my knees as he used to do. I’ve also heard him bark. Know that your baby loves you as much as you love her. You will both be in each other’s heart til you can be together again.
        • Oh Karen, you said so eloquently what is so true – thank you for your healing sentiments. They help and mean so much. How are you and your new kiddos doing?
          • I know she’s running and playing up at the bridge I glad she’s not hurting anymore. I didn’t expect it her death was such a shock to me and it’s going to take a long time to heal because I thought I had at least another 5 years with her
              • I know what you are talking about. My Buddy beagle was only 7. I thought I had a lot longer too. My way of dealing with Buddy’s loss is that when I see a photo or think of a memory, after having that sorrow (I don’t try to keep it a bay) I think about that memory and how happy we were that day. It’s not a cure, there’s nothing for that, but it helps ease the pain of loss.
                  • Karen, You are so right to go straight through the memory and pain, to reach the memories of joy, happiness and the great love you shared. What a gift you gave each other, right? Love is a messy thing – especially with our beloved pets. It’s a deep feeling with extremes of joy and sorrow, but the joys win out over time. Thank you for sharing with us, and please share your special insights on healing with us, Karen. Hugs
              • Cheryl, What a darling girl. I am just so sad for your parting. She was in pain? That is so awful, and of course you are relieved for her release from it. We always want what’s best for them, even though we will suffer the pain of having to live without them. The joys of living with and loving them will one day bring you smiles before tears, but right now, you go through the hurting with us….we know, and we care. I am so sorry, Cheryl.
                  • Daisy started having seizures in Jan out of the blue she had a grand Mal seizure while I was at work and she was in respiratory distress by the time I got home. There was nothing that could be done the vet put her on oxygen but she was pretty much gone by then. I blame myself because had I not been at work I could have gotten her to the vet sooner and maybe she would still be here with me.😢💔 Thank you for caring
                      • Cheryl, You did what you had to do by going to work. Any other day you would have come home to Daisy – right? I don’t understand why you think you would have known to stay home that particular day. Are you blaming yourself without reason? I totally get that – I think we all do – what we could have done differently….but Cheryl, how would you have known? How old was she? You thought you had another five years, so was she young? I am so very sorry and sad for Daisy and for you, but I also want you to know she had her path to follow and there is only so much we can do. I don’t think I am expressing myself adequately, but I hope you get what I am trying to say. You have my heartfelt sympathy.
                          • I just feel if I hadn’t gone to work that day I could have gotten her to the vet it’s just the way I feel. Daisy just turned 13 on Dec 1st very healthy girl thenl the seizures started I was always on edge after her 1st one wondering what would happen if I wasn’t home and I guess I found out the hard way
                              • Cheryl, I’m sure you gave Daisy a wonderful life and she wouldn’t have wanted you to carry your guilt of not being with her the day she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Take comfort in knowing that Daisy will always live in your memory.
