@georgieboy Hi Jill, and welcome to our caring community. I am sorry for your loss of Tina and hope you will share some photos and stories about her with us. What type of pet was she? How did you meet? How long were you together? How are you doing now?

Oh, I am so sorry, Jeanette. Alex WAS your child – that’s one of the reasons it hurts from so deep within when we say goodbye. They are dependent on us (and we them), they are probably nicer than other types of children :-), and we can share secrets and feelings we wouldn’t share with anyone else. It’s very painful to part. But, in our heads we know they are only on loan to us and we wouldn’t give up the time of loving and joy we shared. His ears are so adorable. He is so adorable. Thank you for sharing the charming pictures, and feel welcome to send more. And please feel welcome to continue to share your feelings – we understand and are here for you. I hope you find smile with your memories. Hugs. Toni-
Thank you very much for your kind words and support. Alex has been gone for nearly 20 years but we miss him and still reminisce our time with him. We loved him so much and it truly hurt to let him go. We thought we could never have another fur baby until 3 years ago when we decided to get a puppy. He’s such a joy and makes us laugh daily. His character and temperament are different but we didn’t expect him to be the same as Alex. We love him like a child and he has brought closure to us. He will be 3 years old on September 25th. He’s our little baby.

Mr. Bojangles: “After twenty years he still grieved”. I totally get it because my sister’s most wonderful boy died over 20 years ago, and while she would love to share the joy and love of another, she just can’t face the pain of parting. It’s such an individual situation and accommodation, and capacity, that you never know – one day a sweet little thing will come into your path, and Boom! there ya’ go again – into a loving, fun relationship to treasure. All of my loves are still with me in my thoughts and memories, and spirit, and I am joyful for my current old girl – she’s really filled me up (and is sitting here with me right now). So, I am sorry for your loss, and happy for your gift of sharing again. Thank you for sharing with us. If you read other posts here in our community that move you to share, I hope you will. And….we want to see pictures and hear stories about your lives together !! ๐

Thank you for sharing. My current fur baby has, recently, turned 3 years old. He’s so special to me. We’re so happy to have him in our lives.

This is FABULOUS, Dianne. You know, three times this past year I was sure it was time to say goodbye to my 17 year old, but with medicines, diet and “catupuncture”, she is doing very well and ‘feline’ fine :-). Apply to Waggle.org for help with your Vet bills. The acupuncture has stimulated blood flow to my girl’s kidneys that were failing and now the are normal – not just better – normal! I’m a believer…. I am, we are all, so very delighted for you both. Light a candle in celebration!! And keep us posted…. Great news !!!! -

@grandma2011 Hi Dianne. Checking in on you and your girl. How is she? You?
-
She is eating better than she has been wanting to.She is not having diarrhea, but it is soft and better than before.I am going to keep her and not put her to sleep.I am going to have her vet check her for worms.Yes she is my 13 year old love, and she may be thin, but I am going to figure out what is going on.However if the vet states she is sick and her quality of life is declining, then I will do what is best for her.She is 85% better, and I am so happy.

It’s so good to hear from you and Dixie, Chuck. And I am glad you are finding happiness in your memories of Dexter, and joy with Dixie. Well, she doesn’t look like a brat – she looks like a proper young lady in her dress and fancy bow on her collar :-). But then, looks can be deceiving…. Wow, she’s bigger than I pictured, and very pretty. Keep us in the loop, and have fun! -

Oh Deborah, that is so hard – Maxwell was your bosom buddy and has left a void in your heart, and your home. It takes time to remember him with smiles before your tears and you have to move through the pain, which is powerful. I am, we all are, so very sorry for your goodbye. Please let us know how you are coming along. The picture of him lying with his chin on the carpet is classic – he looks all scrunched up :-). He certainly was a cutie. Sending you a big HUG……. -

So…today, seeing the bright, brilliant colors of leaves changing, and this probably isn’t terribly original, that Life is like a tree: the tree itself is the world, and every living thing is a leaf upon it, and, just like leaves, every living thing will eventually have spent it’s life and fall from the tree, to be replaced with new leaves. I don’t know why that makes me feel a little better about losing any of our loved ones, but it gives me some perspective. Maybe it helps make you feel a bit better, too?

Raymond – may I say you both have the same expression in this picture :-)? Too sweet. Thank you for sharing this with us. It’s so terribly painful to part, isn’t it? Mama Dog was always there for you, no complaints, and just loved being with you…I have a few tears just thinking of how you must feel now. Doggone it – it’s so sad our beloved pets are only “on loan” to us. I don’t know what I can say to help you other than that, with your words and photo, you have touched me, and I am sure others in our caring community. I’ll be thinking of you, and hope you will share more pictures and stories about your life with Mama Dog, and if you want, send your own support to others who are grieving here. I am sending you my best, and hugs……. -

@bikeremt11 Hi Chuck. How is Dixie (YLS)? We miss hearing from you and about Dixie. New pictures, please :-)……Toni

Hi Toni! Dixie is doing great. She got fixed 2 weeks ago and handled it very well. She’s still a little shit and loves to tear stuff up lol She does have a bratty attitude and fits in well.
