  • Brony posted an update 2 years, 1 month ago

To anyone, Im having a tough time. Any words of encouragement would help. Living alone is not easy.

    • Brony, it’s Toni here. What has happened to ,make you feel this way? What’s going on?
      • Brony, I’m so sorry you are having such a hard time. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling after losing Lucy. Please take care if yourself and try to remember all the love she gave you….and you gave her. I know your time with her was cut short, but you were a good Momma to her and gave her a good life.
Sending you lots of warm, comforting hugs to your heart, Brony. 💔
        • Brony, I know you said goodbye to Crazy Lucy recently, and it’s understandable that you are suffering, but your post sounds as if something else bad has happened? There is absolutely no timeline or format for grieivng. There are ways to help move through the pain, starting with what we are doing here – talking about it. Living alone amplifies the emptiness and quietude of your home with Lucy being gone. Can you get out each day, maybe for a walk or to a park? Visit with neighbors or friends? Watch something silly on TV? Listen to music you like? I sincerely hope you will come to our meeting next Thursday, June 20th to share with us and be among friends who understand and care.Sending you {{BIG HUGS}} Toni
          • As soon as I love something it’s taken away. The lady that had Lucy lied constantly to me. She fed her chicken thighs and noodles, her breath was terrible. . She didn’t have her shots or was spayed . In February she started to change, pee and poop on my bed, hide under the toilet. Never come when I called. Quit playing with her toys. And got fleas lived in the garage. She didn’t enjoy life. Got warmer and she hides under the bed. She would drink water like crazy and use the cat box. I think her kidneys were failing. I tried and tried to get her to eat but within days she cried and her head was in the water bowl. I moved her to a chair and petted her while she purred. She yawed her tongue was purple.she took two breaths and was gone. I rocked her and told her I loved her not believing she was gone. She is buried next to Lulu.
            • I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my little girl cat Jessie on May 9. She was the light of my home
and even though she had very little vision and kept my ill husband able to smile every day. She was
15 and I adopted her from a rescue group back in 2010. The pain we feel is indescribable no matter
how many days, months and years go by. Please feel free to message me any time.
              • Brony, that is a terrible story for poor little Lucy. Heartbreaking. It’s no wonder you are not only sad, but angry. I am, too. Some people shouldn’t have pets. It may help you to separate the two feelings and address them each. What happened to Lucy was not good, but she found an angel in you and you made her life much better than it had been. The pain of parting is unlike any other and little things can trigger big emotions for a long time. I hope you find some comfort knowing Lucy, and Lulu, were cared for and loved by you until the end of their little lives. I am sending you {{NIG HUGS}}. Toni
                • Anne, how are you doing now? Are you finding a lessening of the acute pain from saying goodbye to Jessie? Here’s an exercise you might find helpful in hhealing: Think of each year since 2010 as an inch. Let yourself pick moments from each inch (year) that brought you joy, and remember why you opened your home and heart to Jessie. At the end of your ruler, there is a short time when Jessie was unwell, then found release and relief. I hope that as often as you can, you will visit the years (inches) of love and fun you gave Jessie. Please let us know if this helps you, and please join us Thursday to talk. Toni
                  • Toni, i’m returning your hugs to and I’ll need a Kleenex for my tears. You made me feel important to my babies. I will always treasure you. Brony
                    • We;re always here for you, Brony💕💕
                      • Dear Brony,
Such a very sad story about Lucy. I’m so, so sorry that you lost her and I understand completely what you mean about whenever you love something, it’s taken away. I feel that way too, at times, because it does seem that way. I think Lucy had it rough before she came to you and that is probably why her little life was cut short. But, you gave her the best life while she was with you. Please dont beat yourself up. You didnt cause Lucy any harm or pain, she only knew love. I hope you find yourself another little baby to save and give a good life to because you are an excellent Momma.
Sending you great big hugs and wishing you peace in your heart. ❤️
                        • We’re here for you you aren’t alone❤️🙏
                          • Maureen, what lovely, comforting and inspiriong messages you graciously share with us💕I hope you know how much your care, kindness and sentiments mean to us, and I hope you find healing for yourself with them. How are YOU doing now? {{Toni}}
                            • Being part of this community is so very special. It’s a shame I have to lose someone to be a part
                              • You don’t have to have said goodbye to participate in our communiy, Brony. We also love to celebrate our pets, old and new!! Please make our community a place to both seek and lend support, but also share happy and fun times💕That is, after all, why we open our homes and hearts to these little darlings – to share love and kindness with them, and we want to be a part of that.🙌 Toni
                                • I didn’t say goodbye Toni. I couldn’t sign in. Taken me 2 days.
                                  • I saw, and am sorry for your trouble. Glad you are here with us🤗
                                    • Hi Toni, I want you to know how much I appreciate you. Your messages to all of us grieving have been so very comforting and uplifting. I do have trouble navigating this site and I try my best to check in often, but I’m not always able to do that. I want to wish you and everyone here peace and comfort for all your loss and I send lots of warm, comforting hugs. May all our fur babies rest in sweet peace ♥️
                                      • Brony, I hope you are doing better. I know you are so heartbroken and I want you to know that I think of you all the time and wish you comfort and peace for your broken heart. Yes, it is a shame that we are all here because we lost someone, but I’m glad we are here. I had nowhere to go for comfort after I lost Romeo because my family didn’t understand how I could be grieving so hard. There was no empathy. Being here helped me.
Take care of yourself, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you warm, comforting hugs 💔
                                        • Maureen, you are a kind woman. I’m sure you have wings under your shirt. When you get to heaven you will meet plenty of lives that you touched. I am one of them. Hugs to you also.. stay safe.. the heat will be overwhelming here, 112 today, 118 on Friday. Brony
                                          • Maureen, YOU are a kind woman and a very wonderful part of our community. It is so lovely and caring of you to support others who are also hurting💕 I am distressed that you find our site unwieldy and would like to help you with that. Would you like to schedule a call? Toni
                                            • Aww…Toni, thank you so much. You help everyone here on this site with lots of compassion and love. I know you’ve had your own losses and yet you have been there for all here. I appreciate your offer to help me with the site, but it mostly has to do with my end. I dont have the best WiFi and is sketchy at times. Also, operator trouble is part of it too 🙃
We are sweltering here in SW Florida too and I can hardly go outside for any period of time so I understand what you’re going through where you are. I am grateful for AC and feel for all this people who don’t.
Again, thank you for all you do and I will continue coming back here to catch up.
                                              Maureen
                                              • Oh Brony….thank you for your comment, you are too kind. I hope you’re right about getting to heaven and meeting you and others….and my Romeo will be there too. I am still lost without him 💔
How are you doing? I hope things are a little softer in your heart and I want you to know that you are in my thoughts all the time. I feel you have been through more than some of us here, and I wish there was a magic wand to help erase the pain.

Please take care of yourself with this hot weather. Be careful not to stay outside too long, but if you have to be outside stay hydrated.
I send you lots of hugs…..

                                                • 🤗🤗🤗🤗Maureen, you have such anice way of saying things and comforting people. It means a lot and I am so grateful we have you as a friend💕Well, the summer heat is certainly cranked up and I can tell Mac and Roni are aware because they are sleeping through most of the day. Of course, that means they are romping around much of the night😨I’ll post a few photos of them so you can see how they’ve grown now that they’re about eleven months old.😎Stay cool. Toni

Hi Toni and Maureen, this is Brony I have something to tell you 8 days ago my friend was driving home, out in the country, she almost ran over him/her. She arrived at my door with this little one. She said I had to take him/her cause he /she had nobody. She promised to take the kitty to the vet and get him/her fixed. Well the kitty is probably 2 and a half months. We have a vet appointment on August 16th and I paid the 85 dollar deposit. She was just skin and bones but the most intelligent eyes I’ve ever seen. I bought her kitten food and tossed the adult food that was upsetting her tummy. Her name is Frankie. I’m going to have to get her a friend cause she is wearing me out. I’ll get a picture soon.
                                                    • Brony replied 2 years ago
I’m so happy you still have Mac and Roni, I was afraid to ask about them. You made my mind at peace. They grew into lovely kitties. Hope you have them for many, many years. Brony
                                                      • How nice of you, Brony, and thank you🤗As you may recall, I was just fostering Mac and his siblings when his brother and sister had the deadly Panleukopenia and were dying. Mac survived and the rest is history! My accidental cats😎 Speaking of which …. Yipee🎉Frankie is YOUR “accidental” cat but the cativerse sends them our way and for good reason. Absolutely get her a friend – they will always have each other to play with, sleep with, and communicate as only they can. I am just delighted for you both❤️Your heart was empty and now is filling up again and that is the best way to live our lives and honor those we have lost. PLEASE introduce Frankie to us at this months meeting coming up this Thursday, July 18th at 7PM Eastern. We love to meet everyone and I am so excited. 🙌🙌She is darling and lucky to have you and your friend who rescued her. Just wonderful❤️❤️🎉❤️❤️
                                                        • Hi Brony,
Happy Birthday, Brony!!! I am so happy you have Frankie. What a gorgeous little kitty and a wonderful birthday present. I know everything happens for a reason and exactly when we need it to. Frankie was sent to you from your other kitty babies for sure. They dont want you to be sad anymore. This little baby is going to give you so much joy and will fill your life with happiness.
I’m sending you lots of warm birthday wishes. Give Frankie some cuddles and kisses from me too. ❤️
                                                          • Hi Toni, thank you again for your kind words.
Well, it has been a rough week for me as Romeo’s Birthday was on Monday the 15th.
He would have been 16 years old. I always thought he would make it because he was very active, and according to his Veterinarian, very healthy and ” should be around a while longer”. Of course, that wasn’t to be. This birthday was a little easier for me and I celebrated him all day. I had my Alexa announce Happy Birthday, Romeo every single hour and I had her sing the birthday song (I did too). And, of course, there were tears….lots and lots of tears.
So, it’s been 18 months since he left this world, and my heart is still sore. Life for me will never be the same, and life without him stinks. But, I know that nothing will bring him back and the world will keep turning no matter how I feel.
Anyway, I just wanted to mention Romeo’s birthday so I could say his name so he will be remembered.
Thank you so much for listening.
                                                            Maureen
                                                            • Maureen, please light another candle in celebration of Romeo’s birthday. Can you join our meeting tonight, even for a little while? I think it will be nice for you to meet others who understand. We are thinking of you. {{BIG HUGS}} Toni

                                                                • Brony, you always say exactly the right thing because you speak from the kindness of your heart❤️
                                                                  • Brony, thank you so much for your kind words and for lighting a candle for my Romeo. What a beautiful, thoughtful thing to do. I appreciate all your support for me over this last year and want you to know what a wonderful human being you are. Despite going through all your own loss, you have found the capacity to comfort me. I admire your strength and ability to rise above all that and extend grace to me and others.
I send you much love and wish you as much happiness as your heart can stand. ❤️
                                                                    • Toni, thank you so much for the opportunity to light a candle for my Romeo. I havent been on here since last week due to medical issues, but I will try doing that today. I also appreciate your invitation to join the meetings. I will continue to try to do that.
I so appreciate your kindness and I especially love your big hugs. Your continuous support has helped me get through losing my Romeo. Even though I still have a lot of sadness, you never pass judgement and are always understanding and kind.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

                                                                        • Brony replied 2 years ago
