Hi there, you wanted to learn about Lulu. Well she was an itty bitty thing that hid under my shed she wasn\’t more than 3or4 months. I had a little dog Phoebe and they became the best of friends. Well I know what a cat in heat looks like, and so does Phoebe. I got her spayed and shots and she couldn\’t wait to go home and join Phoebe out the cat door under the house to go potty. Lulu made me laugh all the time. She didn\’t like to be picked up and didn\’t sit to long for attention. You paid her to much attention she would slap you.. took me a long time to name her. I finally came up with the name Lulu. When she was almost a year my mom needed help and I had another feral cat that brought me her 3kittens. She was spayed and was stuck to me like glue. I had to choose 2 to go to moms, I choose Mama Kitty and Lulu. Phoebe got a home. Well I lived in a room, the cats were happy as long as I was there. Mama Kitty passed away about 5yrs ago, she was my heart, took me awhile to get over her, first cat I ever put down myself, I miss Dad he did all that for me. Well Lulu was lonely and she had been in that room for 8yrs. She started to really like me so I spent hours petting, playing, and talking to her. Well she got fat. I didn\’t mean to make her fat, she just loved eating. Now mom was gone so Lulu got the run of the house. She played outside as long as she could see me. Loved anything that wiggled or crawled, I know cause she would bring it in the house. She enjoyed the last 3years stayed in the yard or in the house behind the screen. It was there she met a stray, he stop by every few days and have a conversation with Lulu. All of a sudden days away from her 14birthday she quit eating and drinking and she was lethargic. 3 days and she was gone. I slept next to her under my mom\’s bed with a blanket on her. The sprinklers woke us up, I know she was awake cause she started purring. By the time I got back from the bathroom she was gone. As the life went out of her so did my life ended too. That\’s it I have no more animals. I was left all alone, no mom, no dad, and no pets. I\’m not sure what to do now. I miss her so much it breaks my heart. I will have another cat that needs me as much as I need it. A shelter pet that is spayed or neutered and about 2or3 years old. I just don\’t want to replace Lulu with another one. I\’m waiting to give my emotions some time. I all of a sudden start sobbing cause she\’s not here. The picture on the blanket was at the end of may 2023. And the picture was with her best friend.-
Mama Kitty was 18 when she left this world, and Lulu was just shy of 14 yrs. I will remember these two cats FOREVER.

Brony, yes you will always carry them in your heart and thoughts. Please try to think of your times together like a ruler with each year being an inch. You had 18 and 14 inches of wonderful love, fun and joy, and just a half inch of them not being well. Take a memory from each of those inches and allow yourself to celebrate and be happy for them, and for you and the life you shared. Of course you cry and are broken in your heart and soul. That’s what deep love brings with goodbye, but you gave them their best life and I hope you find comfort knowing that. Our next group meeting is July 20th and I hope you join us. Until then, please keep us posted on how you are. Toni
