Hi Christina🤗That’s too bad about little Alvin, but I think IBD can be addressed with diet (maybe meds) and he should do well. Have you thought to ask your local shelter for their insights? How are you doing now – still writing to June? I hope having Alvin is bringing you much joy. I find that, while I will always miss my beloved, departed babies, having another life to care for and about really lifts the pain, and I can be happy for the lives we shared and not feel so sad. Amber, your sentiment is powerful, true and inspirational – we feel the acute pain of parting, but can also remember why we opened our hearts in the first place, and recall the many years of joy and love you and Khemosavvy shared💕I am truly sorry for your parting, and happy for the years you and Khemosavvy got to romp and ride. What a lovely, and true, sentiment. We DO feel the pain of loss acutely, but with time, and thought, can remember why we opened our homes and hearts in the first place, knowing one day we would have to say goodbye, but never regretting EVERY day we shared love and joy.

Oh, I didn’t realize you and Coco had parted, and so recently. I am so sorry. But you must feel good that you gave her such a nice life filled with love. That’s really all we can hope for, any of us, isn’t it? It’s hard knowing when we meet that one day we will say goodbye, but we wouldn’t give up the fun, funny and loving times we shared. Barbara, our community is here to support you through your grief, along with your other cats, who are also mourning Coco’s passing. You certainly have a big heart and love pets. That’s the only downside to loving our little darlings – they are only on loan to us, never for long enough. But I think the joys of sharing lives with them comes to outweigh the pain of parting. It does take time, talk and sympathy to find a place of gratitude, and we are here for you, Judith. You are a lovely, loving addition to our community and I hope you will extend your own kindness to others here who are healing. I am sending you and yours a {{BIG HUG}}💕Toni -

What a cutie. Was Walker a special breed, or breed mix? Long body, short legs…. and those eyes! How alert and kind. As Dana so beautifully says ” Please remember that between hello and goodbye there was so much love.” And in our heads we know that, but our hearts are shattered. That’s why we are here to share not only sympathy and understandng, but ways to deal with the pain of grief. One thing we can do is to deliberately think of a fun or funny time we shared. Like this photo – I hope it brings back memories of what Walker was up to, and that you find smiles before tears with your thoughts. We’re thinking of you, Judith🤗💔Toni
