In my Jeep I have an engraved container with his ashes and a keychain with “In memory of my best friend “. I have them hanging from the rear view mirror-
I wish I had told you about Memory Vessels, Chuck . They have two compartments for physical mementos like remains or fur, plus a USB Flash Drive to store photos of Dexter, all in one beautiful heart shaped, substantial piece. We also have beautiful hand blown glass pieces that have the remains integrated in the glass. Take a look through our Shop, or call me. Also, I want to ask you if fire departments provide window and door stickers that alert emergency responders to pets inside a building. I have one I got years ago and don’t know where I got it. How are you doing now? Toni

I am sorry, Chuck, but you made me smile with this – it’s so pretty and cool. I know you are hurting, and I share your pain, but this is such a cool and meaningful tribute to Dexter, you just made me smile – I hope your are finding more smile than tears too – are you?

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoA memorial I made for Dexter. His collar, dog tag, a couple name plates and some of his ashes. I miss you buddy-
Chuck, this is so lovely, and loving. You may find a Memory Vessel meaningful. There are two compartments for fur or remains, along with a USB Flash Drive for photos. They are a nice way to keep physical and digital memories together. I don’t know if a pendant of blown glass with Dexter’s remains is something you might treasure, but Forever-in Glass pieces are so unique, and incorporate remains in hand-blown art work. You can look in the Shop area of our community to find these, and other comforting memorials if you want. Chuck, I am so glad you found us, and that you are a part of our family of pet lovers. He’s home. I’m doing good. Broke down when I saw his paw print but immediately smiled a second later remembering my lol buddy. Thanks for being here-
Chuck, this is so good to hear. And, it’s so nice of you to let us know how a “bad” thing can bring good feelings. That’s really important and helpful to everyone. We know when we first bring a furry friend into our lives that they are “on loan” to us and one sad day, we will bid them adieu. And we know we wouldn’t have missed a moment of joy and love with them, and that they enjoyed their life with us. Bravo, Chuck. When you bring your new puppy home, please…you must share that joy with us. Hugs, Toni

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier, but I was concerned about you bringing your baby home. We have a Find Services tab, and by entering your zip code and using the drop-down menu to find Rescues & Shelters, you may be able to find a puppy there. Let me know if you need help, and if that helps you. Toni

Can someone go with you, Chuck? Would it be better for you if you wait awhile to get them – if you’re not ready, you don’t have to get them yet. Let us know what you decide, and if you don’t go, it’s really very okay to wait. If you do go, let us know how you are.
When you are ready, I have a question – does the fire department provide decals to put in windows or doors that indicate there is an animal inside to be rescued in the event of an emergency? Don’t answer now – but if you will when you are ready, I think it’s a good thing for pet owners to know. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Toni

Lost my best friend 9 days ago. He was 11 and had CHF. I\’m a Firefighter/Paramedic and felt helpless to do anything for him. It\’s breaking my heart but I know he isn\’t suffering-
So sorry. It is so hard to let them go. Lost my faithful buddy of 24 years 2 weeks ago. Many thoughts being sent your way
