Chewy was my 1st foster and my foster failure. She was absolutley the best baby. She got her name from the high school band kids their performance was Star Wars. She had been choked and her treacha was twisted she sounded like Chewbacca. We only had her a little over 2 years . She survived abuse and cancer. She passed in August 2021 from congestive heart failure. We are still very much broken hearted 💔-
Alice, it hasn’t been very long for you to grieve, and the traumatic little life Chewy had makes it even more heartbreaking. But what a wonderful thing for you all to have had the loving time you did. As a Foster Flunky myself, I know that when we fall, we fall hard. The pain of parting is strong, and so is ‘the force’ of loving memories. I hope you find smiles before tears with her memories soon. Thank you for fostering and caring. Sending you a HUG.
