Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoThis is Syrus and Hex. I have actually lost six cats in the past six years. Syrus is the dog and Hex is the cat. I live alone so they are my soul companions. Syrus and Hex are both 2 years old.-
Thank you for the smile and chuckle I just got looking at them, Geri. I grew up with a dog and cat who were each six weeks old when we got them. They didn’t know they were not the same and were absolutely brothers. Prince (our 90 lb. dog) would take cat baths just like Tiger (our tabby cat), they would go carousing the neighborhood together (this was before leash laws and we lived near open fields) and they both died at sixteen. What wonderful memories your picture brings me. THANK YOU! I needed that. Toni-
Thank you, yes Syrus and Hex are Best friends. I don’t think they realize that one is a dog and one a cat. They constantly play with one another. Hex plays with Syrus’s toys, but he seems to prefer them, Even though they are too big for his mouth. He kicks him around with his paws.

He’s a ‘cathlete :-). Love to see more pictures of them together….

Oh my, I had to enlarge the picture to see how fabulous the fur is. And those eyes! Is this a special breed? Looks like you groom a lot. Any particular tools you like? I have friends who use a Furminator on their long-hairs but I find the teeth pretty sharp and when I cat-sit for them, am very gentle when grooming.
-
That photo had to be taken a few years ago. No, actually I don’t groom him enough. My little fur baby doesn’t like being combed or brushed. He’s a biter. My sister has to help me with him. I use the regular brushes & combs for cats. Plus I have the Furminater de- shedder for long hair on him, short hair one for the other. I do have the Furminater de- matter, I don’t like that one.
-
Yep, those tools can be harsh. I have a grooming glove but it doesn’t really work. I have a small brush with metal prongs and gently groom my cat. But the very best we enjoy is slightly moist hands. If you can, will you send some more pictures, please? I think he is so gorgeous.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoMu darlings are Boo, Reglisse, Midnight, Bebe, Raven and Toshi. They are all beautiful in their own way.-
Wow! They are adorable. Do they get along well?
-
Hi Cody. They really do get along. They all play together etc. Hisses every once in awhile usually aimed at the baby Boo cause he has no manners lol. But other than that its idyllic.

-
Lisa, I adore you – how wonderful of you to have six fabulous, furry friends. Mine is black and I am happy to see she is in good company. Tell us more and share more pics, please 🙂 Toni

Tammy posted an update in the group
Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoMy family and I lost our furbaby in a horrific way..Toby was attacked and killed by another dog while going for a walk. The emptiness was too much to bear. Exactly 3 weeks after Toby passed we got another dog. We named him Shiloh..Tobys\’ middle name 🙂 We didn\’t get Shiloh to replace Toby, he will forever be in our hearts-
Oh, Tammy, I am shaken by what happened to Toby. How horrible. But how lovely for Shiloh to come into your lives. Of course no one “replaces” another, but rather opens our hearts to even more loving relations with other loving friends. You are kind and generous to give Shiloh a place in your home.. I hope to see more pictures and stories about your life with Shiloh. Thank you for sharing with us.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoIll introduce parker there in photo.. had him 12 yrs and I had to nake hardest decision on 01/29/2021 it was to put him sleep.. he was never sick or show signs of sickness 2 weeks prior to the 29th he had a knot come up he couldn\’t pee. Gave him antibiotics and he could but then the 2nd week he passed all blood n urine and took him to vet in valdosta ga great place by the way.. but they told me prostate cancer had came on him and kidney stones we tried all there was to save my fur baby but he had seizure on 28th so I had to let him kno how great he was and he will not suffer no more that he had been my best friend and was there for me so I was there for him he was tired to i think he didn\’t wont to suffer i sure did not wont him to… but parker I miss u so much fly high boy my heart is void till we meet again…-
That is an adorable photo of Parker. Thanks for sharing. I’m thinking of you, Angela. It’s so tough but we are here for each other.
-
Angela, you did the most selfless thing by relieving Parker of pain and suffering. As a pet parent/friend, that’s one of our obligations in caring and loving for them – to not let them suffer. It is excruciating to make that decision, and you made it to benefit Parker. That doesn’t make it easier for you, I know, but it may bring you comfort to know Parker knew you loved him in helping him. Please let us know how you are doing, and when you can smile with Parker’s memories before you cry.
-
Knowing that you did the absolute best thing for Parker by letting him go doesn’t make it hurt any less. I am so sorry for your loss, his love for you will always be with you. Always.

Wow – they are like my sister and me – she’s blonde, blue-eyed, and I’m brunette, brown eyes. Don’t have the same coloring, but couldn’t be closer !

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoMy doodle bug (chopper) playing with the blanket, then being like nope tvs back on I\’m done🤣-
Sabi, is Chopper watching TV? I know some pets take after us and watch things on TV. Any favorite shows of his? By the way, the Puppy Bowl is on TV before the Super Bowl ;-). I love that and he might like it, too. Thank you for the joy of seeing Chopper with the cool blanket. Please share more “Fun With Chopper” moments…
-
We’re a cartoon house and he my MAFS couch buddy since my bf hates the show🤣. And my ID channel buddy😂. The blanket came from biglots, part of the dream street collection(the kids/teen bedding) since I have a full size bed and absolutely love stars and astronomy.

Bonnie posted an update in the group
Celebrate 5 years, 6 months ago-
Oh now, Bonnie…there can not be many cats that look like that – she is just stunning! The eyes, the color, the ‘catitude. I think she is very special. Thank you so much for these pictures. I want to join her fan club 🙂
-
She is special. I adopted her from a animal control center when she was 1 years old.
-
Bonnie, you made me laugh – a can of wet cat food for her birthday – that’s too cute. I take it she usually eats dry? I had a cat that literally walked in my door and adopted me, and she would only eat dry food. The vet said that was fine, and that cat (Chivo) lived a great, healthy life on the dry food. But you made me laugh. Thank you for that!

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoMy Lily\’s 6th Birthday today.-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILY!! Groundhog Day Eve – how cool. She’s really pretty. Is she a special breed, Bonnie?
-
No I don’t think so. I see cats that look just like her everywhere on the web.
-
Oh, she looks very special, and she is! Do you have more pictures of her we can see? What did she get for her birthday?

Oh my, wow, eight puppies …how adorable. Are they a certain breed? What happened to Loki? Was he the same breed? Do you have pictures of Loki, Cherry? You are so kind to share your sympathy with others here. It means so much to know other pet lovers understand the joys and sorrows. It’s just so hard to say good-bye…Please, tell us more and share puppy stories with us.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoThis is Jack & Willow. Both are rescues. Willow(on right side) I just rescued in August 2020 after she was left behind after her ex owner moved. Jack was found on a farm in the winter of 2013 when windshields were extremely dangerous. The person that discovered him brought him to the vet and the vet called me as he knew I was looking for another pet. These 2 are my world. -

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoJuno before she got liver failure. She was only 5 years old. Worst Labor Day weekend.-
Oh Wendy, I am so sorry. How did you find out what was wrong with Juno? Were there symptoms? Are you doing better? Toni
-
I took her to the veterinarian. Her symptoms were throwing up, barely eating and losing weight. Not really doing better. My husband got me a new puppy about 2 weeks later. That I really didn’t want but I do love him. But I still talk to my Juno. I did make a blanket with her favorite pictures on it.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoMy 2 little boys, brothers, Axl and Slash. Just over 1 year old…-
Rock-n-Roll Cats! Heavy metal…paws to the pedal. How cute. Did you adopt them? Love the ‘catitude.
-
I got the brothers from my next door neighbor. She took in a stray female about to have babies and she had 7… A true Motley Crue (pun intended, although wrong band). They were a year old in August, and Axl, was the runt, at the time, only Half the size of Slash. Well, NOW, the rides have turned completely, and he is the biggest of all 7, and weighs 18 lbs, to Slash’s 11!
BTW… Axl is blondish, fat, and cant sing and Slash is the bad-ass rocker with the great Rock n Roll hair, of course.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoI was sure that I didn\’t want anymore dogs after Cherry passed, but I was wrong. These 2 beauties are my rescues, Ben & Freyja.-
Melissa, as we say “Who rescued whom?”, right? This is just lovely to see, and for you, and Ben & Freyja. Are they litter mates? How old are they? What breed, if any? I’m so happy for you all!
-
No, not litter mates. Ben is Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix & Freyja is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. Both of them are 3 yrs old.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoI just rescued a new fur baby. Her name is Lily and we love her so much already!
-
Vicki, don’t be a tease – tell us about Lily :-). Any pictures we can see? How wonderful for you both.
-
I have been looking for another chihuahua as a friend for my little chi I have now. Her name is Pixie. She is also a rescue. I placed an ad in our local classified and someone contacted me that they had a chi they could no longer keep. The rest is history!
-
That is such a good story, Vicki. Most breeds have Rescues that can also be a resource for finding an adoptee. The Find Services tab on our site has Rescues and Shelters that can be located in your are by entering your zip code. Now, will you show us Pixie ( love that name) and your other Chi? 🙂
