I lost my kitty Callie on March 30 2023 I got her cremated she’s back home with me but it’s still really hard not having her here anymore I miss her so much

    • I am so sorry, Sally. Please tell us about Callie – How did you meet? How long were you together? What kind of kitty was Callie? May we see pictures? We have an onlne group meeting the third Thursday each month and I hope you will join us. Details are in the “Events” section to the right of this page.
      • I met Callie when she came to my back door of my apartment I was living at in 2016 she came to me 3 days before my grandson’s birthday my grandson passed away and 2014. Callie was with me for 8 years. Callie was a calico kitty she was very friendly and loving.
        • How touching it must have been for you, Sally – to have Callie come to you, to bring you joy, love and comfort. Callie had a loving, long life with you, and we can never have them long enough, but don’t you feel your life was enriched by having Callie with you? Now the hard part – the emptiness of your home, and missing her. I encourage you to come to our group Thursday the 15th – I think you will find great support and understanding, and you can share with us. Toni

          • Callie was my world and now is is gone feels to lonely with out her being her with me
            • Sally, When I said goodbye to my girl I was happy for her release and relief. She was old and unwell. However, the second I walked in my home, I was devastated – she wasn’t there and would not be again. The emptiness of our surroundings and changes to our daily routines is hard and takes time to adjust to. You will, Sally. I will never recommend getting another pet until you’re ready, but much to my surprise, ten days later I took in a one year old kitty whose mother was in hospital, and he really filled my world. (He went back to her three months later and broke my heart again, but he pulled me back into the lovely, loving world.) Take your time, be kind to yourself knowing the wonderful life you shared qith Callie, and one day you will find smiles before tears with her memory. (HUGS) Toni
