    It will soon be one year that my Gracie passed away from kidney failure. Struggling…

        Ann, holidays and anniversaries are tough. They trigger tons of memories and strong emotions that run deep. I find that trying to ignore those feelings just crams them up inside, so please let them flow. It’s exhausting and hurts, but also makes room for happy memories to be released. I call it “unleash the grief”. It may help you to create a lasting memorial for Gracie, which you can do here: https://www.faithfulfriends.com/memorials/
        Gracie was fortunate to have you love her so much. She isn’t suffering any more, and would want you to be happy for the wonderful lives you were lucky to share. You’d want the same for her.
