Ann, is this Cracker? What a fabulous doggy. I am so sorry, Did you just part? It’s devastating. When you are up to it, please tell us about Cracker. -
My cracker was 5yrs old. Me and my late husband picked her out together when she was 5wks. She’s been my rock. She has such a sweet personality. She loved my grandkids. My husband passed 3yrs ago. And she was the last thing I had of him. It’s been really hard. She is missed by so many people who loved her so. -
I am so sorry to hear. I know she felt that love too. -
Hi Ann. Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog Cracker. Was he a pure white German Shepherd? My wife & I lost 2 German shepherds last summer: A 10 yr old black & silver male named Ranger to cancer & our 11 yr old white one named Axel died a week later suddenly. We think he died of a broken heart after losing his buddy. We were so heart broken & know how you feel. Sympathies for your loss.

Hi Toni. We’re both doing OK here. Been a busy winter with a lot of work hours put in but now just waiting for spring. Eager to get outside more with our dog Renzo who absolutely loves running & playing outside! I can tell he’s also getting a lil’ “cabin fever” from a long winter but we’re planning lots of outdoor adventures & car rides too. Everyday i still think of the 2 shepherds we lost last summer. They’re both buried in our yard under a nice apple tree along (2) other dogs who passed years ago. It still hurts so much because of the sudden way it unfolded. Brighter days ahead…

Yes, brighter days ahead, Randy. I said goodbye to my beloved Beauty Girl Feb. 24th and two weeks ago today, a friend called, their mother had taken ill and was not able to be home with her two year old cat, Boots, and would I take him in! He’s twice the size of my girl, has teeth (she only had one), and is a bundle of energy and joy (when he’s not being a monster). I had not intended to bring a new pet home yet, but I can attest that he has helped me through my grief. I try not to think of BG because, even though I know it was the best for her (she was turning 18 and was quite unwell), the pain of loss runs deep and lingers. So of course you still hurt and miss Ranger and Axel, but Renzo is one lucky boy, and I am delighted for you and your family to have new love and fun. Keep us posted. OH! Share some photos of Renzo and the springtime birds and animals and stuff he gets up to 🙂
