Thinking about my baby Zoey, recently gone to Rainbow Bridge from bladder cancer. She was a rescue and was very very timid when I first brought her home. It took months to get her to trust and love. Her life was way too short with me.

Oh Dodi, how nice of you to share your home and heart with Zoey. There is nothing I can think of that is more generous and caring. We’re not in charge of anyone’s destiny, but we can give these charming innocents a good life for as long as they are “on loan” to us and you did just that. It’s seeing them falter, and saying goodbye that hurts us so much. I am so very sorry for your pain. I hope you find smiles before tears in Zoey’s memories. She was so adorable – thank you for the picture. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
