Coco was a sweet girl. Unfortunately she passed away in February. I miss her a great deal. My other two cats are helping me through my grief. I found Coco at the local Humane Society 15 1/2 years ago. She was not doing well being there and was very thin. When I got her home she started eating right away. She just needed to feel loved. -

Coco is striking! That face, those eyes🤗My Squirt was with me 19 years, BG was 18, so Coco has a lot of years to enjoy being with you. Is Coco a boy or girl? How did you meet? Is Coco doing well? Toni -

Oh, I didn’t realize you and Coco had parted, and so recently. I am so sorry. But you must feel good that you gave her such a nice life filled with love. That’s really all we can hope for, any of us, isn’t it? It’s hard knowing when we meet that one day we will say goodbye, but we wouldn’t give up the fun, funny and loving times we shared. Barbara, our community is here to support you through your grief, along with your other cats, who are also mourning Coco’s passing. If you would like to, please join our group meeting March 21st at 7PM Eastern. We’d love to meet you and have you tell us more about Coco. The link to join is under “Events” on the right side of this page. And please feel welcome, and safe, to share with us here. I am sending you my sympathy. Toni

Barbara, I’m so sorry for your loss of Coco 💔 Losing our fur babies is very painful. I lost my boy 14 months ago and it has been the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. My heart hurts for you. Comforting hugs to you 💔

You certainly have a big heart and love pets. That’s the only downside to loving our little darlings – they are only on loan to us, never for long enough. But I think the joys of sharing lives with them comes to outweigh the pain of parting. It does take time, talk and sympathy to find a place of gratitude, and we are here for you, Judith. You are a lovely, loving addition to our community and I hope you will extend your own kindness to others here who are healing. I am sending you and yours a {{BIG HUG}}💕Toni -

Not looking to adopt. We have 2 westie girls, 8 years old and 1 cairn schnauzer mix, almost 14. We are getting older and have mobility issues. But we’ve had many dogs throughout the years.I am doing ok. A lot better than when I first found this group.

You had a touch from beyond💕That can be both unsettling and comforting. -

I found Viszla rescues if you are looking to adopt. I can see some Cairn in his picture. How are you doing now, Judith? -

Thank you for your kind words. I know I am looking at it from my hearts point of view when I say he deserved better. But maybe I’m being unfair. Maybe they were very busy that night with other emergencies. -

When he was a young dog we did a DNA test on him. He seems to have viszla in him. If you Google it you will see a resemblance. However he was advertised as a cairn. -

What a cutie. Was Walker a special breed, or breed mix? Long body, short legs…. and those eyes! How alert and kind. As Dana so beautifully says ” Please remember that between hello and goodbye there was so much love.” And in our heads we know that, but our hearts are shattered. That’s why we are here to share not only sympathy and understandng, but ways to deal with the pain of grief. One thing we can do is to deliberately think of a fun or funny time we shared. Like this photo – I hope it brings back memories of what Walker was up to, and that you find smiles before tears with your thoughts. We’re thinking of you, Judith🤗💔Toni

Yes, I had her to the dogtor. They did blood work, screening, X-rays, and one other test to the tune of $351 when I told them I had $250. Everything was normal. Sent me home with a bag of solution, a handful of huge needles to give her fluid subcutaneously and two meds. I couldn’t bring myself to use the fluid/ needles. With her being so traumatized and needles hurt, so no. I use a syringe to squirt water in her mouth. When she won’t eat I use puppy milk substitute. And treat her gently, keeping our routine the same, give her lots of love. It brought her around once maybe it’ll work again. I’m getting a consultation with a a respected trainer/communicator. See what happens. I’m trying everything I can to fix her.

Yes Grunt-Grunt will always be next to me. The other day I had it quiet because I was reading my Bible and I heard a snore, then another and another I looked down where she used to lay and saw her laying there sleeping on her pillow. It was just for a second or two and it faded away, but it was enough for me.

Has she been to the doctor? Maybe she has an obstruction. I’d get an exam, blood test and maybe an ultrasound. How old is Lexie Loo now? Keep us posted, please. We’ll be worried with you. Toni -

The first anniversary of losing my Pug Angel Grunt-Grunt was 12/30/23 and I had a very hard time with it. She quit eating on 12/25/22 and was gone five days later. It was made harder because Lexie Loo, the new dog achieved playing just because for the first time in almost a year. So part of my heart was jumping for joy for one dog and still breaking for another. The picture is of Angel Grunt-Grunt ‘s headstone.
