💔Oh Nina, what a sweet girl. I am so, so sorry. Please tell us about Delilah – How did you meet? How long were you together? What are some of your favorite memories of your times together? Nina, how are you coping now? Do you have friends and family around to support you? We are here for you, with understanding and care, Toni -

Oh no, Susan. What happened to Jasper? I am so sad to hear that he was so young. It is just a shame that our beloved babies can’t be with us forever, but to say goodbye at such a young age is so hard to understand. Susan, if you can, please tell us more about Jasper, and Anna Mae and Snowbelle, and know that we are here for you with sincere sympathy. Toni -

Joyce, I am so sorry that you have said goodbye to your darling babies💔You can always light a candle for them just by clicking on the logo and adding their names. I get what you mean about Dexter being a Husky and liking the warmth – they have a layer of insulating fur under their topcoat that keeps them warm, and cool. What fabulous friends they are! It is so hard to lose them and I hope you and your family can find some comfort in remembering the many fun, funny and loving times you were lucky to share. With my sympathy, Toni -

Dexter needs a candle too. This was Blaze s buddy for 7 yrs. Passed May 4th, 2024 . He was my Baja dog. We traveled to Mexico every year. He loved the sun which was strange being a husky.-

I’m so sorry for your loss of Delilah 💔 What a pretty girl she was. Sending you comforting hugs at this very sad time 💔
-
Thank you so much.

She was such a sweet girl. I adopted Delilah she was 1 1/2 years old. When she was put to sleep she was 16 1/2 so I had her for 15 years. My constant companion and shesaved my life so many times as I was in a bad place mentally. My favorite memories are of her being with me everywhere I went. I’m coping ok. I miss her terribly and my heart hurts so much. My daughter has be my rock, she went with me to put her to sleep. I thank God for that. I picked up her ashes the other day and that was really hard. I cried all the way home. She is home now. In the process of making a little shrine for her. So there will be a picture to come when it’s done. Thank you all for the kind words.
-
Nina, what a lovely tribute to Delilah. And what a long, loving life you and she shared. It is a sad fact that our beloved pets are only on loan to us and that one day we have to part. But our memories are with us forever and I hope you have many good ones to bring you comfort. {{HUGS}} Toni

Hi Toni, I had Mama cat since she was 6 weeks old, she had quite the personality. Her favorite thing to do was to climb up on the top of the doors, especially the bathroom door and look over the shower top when I’d be taking a shower. Towards the end of her life she started having seizures and , so to the point she was having them on a daily basis, up until she passed away.
-
Joanne, I have seen videos of cats that get on top of doors and it is always mind-boggling to me! My Mac and Roni sit outside my shower door, then go in when I exit leaving little wet paw marks everywhere😨
My BG was 18 when she had two seizures, one in my lap, which was the day I took her in to give her release and relief. It hurts so deeply to come home and not have Mama Cat there, but it is so good for her that she is out of harms’ way and not sufferieng. I hope that you find peace knowing that she is okay now, and that you can smile with joy and gratitude with her memories. Sending you {{BIG HUGS}}. Toni -
Toni, your kind words bring comfort, I know she’s not suffering anymore. I just feel like I didn’t do enough for her, that I should’ve done more and that if I did, she’d still be here. She was 16 1/2 years old and still so full of life it seemed, I miss her, I had her cremated and sleep with her every night, I know that must sound weird, but it brings me comfort having her beside me.
-
Joanne, feeling that we could have done more is very natural. I think I tried to do too much for my BG and let her go on too long. She had a seizure that I thought was choking, but when she had the second one, in my lap, it was clear that I should have let her go sooner. It;s okay to second guess yourself, but I hope that you will instead remember all the great things you did for, and with, Mama Cat. I wish, we all do, that we never had to say goodbye but our babies are only “on loan” to us and we can only love them lots while they are here. And no, I don’t think keeping her near you is weird at all. You might look at Memory Vessels as a way to keep her close to you. And Joanne, I hope you will join our group meeting March 20th to talk about our feelings with us. Toni

Oh what a wonderful surprise you had! And how lovely that Tenne had a long, loving life with you. When my BG died, I slept with a stuffed toy under my chin (she used to sleep there) to help me get through the emptiness. Perhaps you can try snuggling with a soft pillow or toy? There is a lot of pain in parting, but what great joys to be remembered. I hope you can look to your memories with Tenne to find some comfort knowing she lived her best life with you. In the three years since your parting, have you opened your home and heart to another? We would love to hear more from you, Carol. Sending you {{HUGS}}. Toni -

Joeyel, I am so sorry💔It does feel unfair that our babies can’t be with us forever, and it’s so painful when we have to say goodbye💔Every living thing will die, every leaf will fall from the tree, and while we acknowledge this in our minds, it’s our hearts that shatter. I hope that you can bring forth memories of the good times you and Boy Bowser were so lucky to share and that you can find some comfort there. Our group of kind, understanding friends meets online tonight at 7 Eastern and I encourage you to join us to talk about Bowser. The link is under the “Events” tab. I hope to see you then, and am sending you my deep sympathy. Toni - Load More
