This is my Brandi. I lost her on September 8,2023. Her birthday was September 10th. It’s really hard for me and I’m struggling.-
Nicole, How are you doing today? It’s very hard to move through the pain of parting and it’s undertsandable that you are struggling. How old would Brandi be now? Hi Selma, I am very sorry. How long has it been? The pain of losing a beloved pet is one of the deepest we experience. I found holding and sleeping with a stuffed toy helped, some hold pillows – something to literally hold on to. You may find writing notes to Sissy Girl, and writing FROM Sissy Girl to you, helps to recall all the wonderful times you shared. Our pets are only “on loan” to us, never for long enough, and it’s helpful to remember the many fun, funny and loving times we got to spend together. We are here for you, Selma, and you are welcome to share more about Sissy Girl. Also, if you can join our group meeting Thursday Sep. 21st at 7 Eastern (4 Pacific) you will meet understanding, sympathetic people. We’ll be thinking of you. {{HUGS}} Toni

Yes, this is little Rusty. He had only just turned three and was killed by another dog. It was horrific and I couldn’t save him. He was the best dog I ever had. He was so loving, smart and funny. We made all our plans together and I took him with me everywhere. I now have a puppy who somewhere down the line is related to Rusty. He is lovely but in full puppy mode and quite naughty! -

@momee Hi Maurenn. So, have you looked into visiting or volunteering at a shelter? Our local shelter lets you go and just visit with the pets.

Yes, this is little Rusty. He had only just turned three and was killed by another dog. It was horrific and I couldn’t save him. He was the best dog I ever had. He was so loving, smart and funny. It is good of you to think about this. I encourage people to have 2 – 3 trusted homes who will take in your pets, and you will want to leave them money to pay for their care.
