Celebrate 5 years, 6 months ago Our Cookie sitting with Buddy. They were best friends. Cookie was always cleaning Buddy’s ears, licking the tumor in his throat a sniffing around his chest (where the cancer had spread to. Cookie doesn’t know what to do now. We’ve tried everything the vet suggested and then some. We will probably end up getting another beagle for her (and us).-
Let me rephrase….Buddy had a tumor on the side of his neck and it protruded quite a bit. Cookie would lick Buddy’s neck and even scratch at it with her teeth as they will when trying to chew at fleas. -
I’m so sorry about Buddy, and Cookie. And you…. Animals can detect medical issues, often before we know about them. Another friend for Cookie, and you, is probably a good thing. You’ll never “replace” Buddy of course, but it is so nice to take in another friend. Please let us know if you do and how you are all doing.-
