Presley was my daughters pug born in 2008.. she lived with me around 8 years.. I lost her last wed. I miss her so much💔

Oh Kyle, a week is not long and you must be very sad, the house feels quiet and empty, and we understand how hard this is. But, she was 15 years old and that is a wonderful lifetime for Presley. Too short a time for what we want, but how lovely for you both to have had the time together. I found a stuffed animal to cuddle and talk to helped me. What are you doing to find smiles before your tears?

Kathy, how awful for you to be ill and get such sad news about SweetiePie. Had she been unwell? Do you think Monster left for awhile to mourn and hopefully will be back? I hope so. I am glad you have Chauncey with you and that he is devoted to you. Loving pets is the best and the hardest because they are only “on loan” to us, never for long enough. I hope you are able to find some comfort knowing you and SweetiePie shared a loving life. Let us know if/when Monster comes home, and how you are doing. Toni -

Karen, a month isn’t very long to move through the pain of parting to the warmth of loving memories. Domino was SO beautiful – those eyes! – and we can see how much love she gave, and got. Nicole, I feel as if I know Harlee now, seeing her in so many moments of her happy life. How wonderful of you to share with us, and how wonderful for you both to have had so many fun times. We can see how much love she gave, and got back. It’s awful to say goodbye, but aren’t you grateful at the deepest level for having had her in your life? Of course, and so is your son. But it hurts and we are here for you, with you, to help support you as you move towards remembering Harlee with smiles before your tears. Oh Bea, I am so very sorry. It had to be so sad and painful for you to know Tiny was unwell. You were very gracious to help him find comfort even though it breaks your heart. That is love. I hope you find some comfort knowing you did your best for Tiny, not just at the end of his life, but for eleven glorious years of fun and love. Sarah, again, I am truly very sad and sorry about Sassy. I’ve been thinking that the days, sometimes weeks or months, of seeing our beloveds’ fail is almost, never as much, but almost as heartbreaking as saying goodbye. I went through it with my BG, and am going through it again now, and it hurts every day, anticipating our parting. But, I also know Sassy had a wonderful, loving life with you and she is now comfortable. And she would want you to know how much she loved you, apprecited everything you did with and for her, and would want you to be happy – don’t you think? We wish we could be together longer. We can be grateful for the time we had. I hope you find yourself smiling with your good memories soon. Please let us know how you are doing, Sarah. {HUG} -

Eugene, Beth was such a long time, beloved best friend and I am so sorry for your loss. In your head you know you gave her the most generous, selfless gift you could – release and relief. In your heart, you are shattered, at a deep, celllunlar level. It is is going to take you time to eventually be able to recall the many years of joy and love you and Beth shared. May I offer you a thought? The time Beth was unwell, while absolutely the worst, is a smaller percentage of her life, just as it would be for any of us, than the 13 years you enjoyed together. It is so sad that they are only “on loan” to us, never for long enough. It is the part of pet loving that we know, going in, we will one day reckon with. I hope you will allow your fond and fun memories to rise, and that you are kind to yourself. Please Eugene, keep us updated on how you are doing. You have all of our sympathy. Toni -
