Lost my Wally Cooper on 6/11/2025. I miss him every day, all day.
    • Jen, I am so sorry💔Please tell us about sweet Wally Cooper – How did you meet? What did you like to do together? How long were you together? Anything you would like to share with us, we would like to hear. I hope you can find some comfort in remembering the fun, funny and loving times you and Wally Cooper were lucky to share. With my sympathy, Toni
      • When Wally walked I to my life, I have NO DOUBT it was divine intervention, and he was literally SENT to me.

I was in my bank one day opening a new account, when Wally and his previous owner came walking in the door. He instantly caught my eye, because, not only was he adorable, but I had three others, of the same breed who had all passed on.

Wally, being the people loving dog he was, saw me looking at him and smiling, and he instantly wanted to come meet me to say hello. When he and his owner were seated close by, also waiting to open an account, his owner took his leash off and he ran to me as though we knew each other. I picked him up, and he excitedly gave me kisses and I gave him lots of pets and cuddles. Noticing our instant bond, his owner told me that things weren’t working out for her in the U.S., and she was likely going to need to move back to Europe where she was from. She asked me if I would consider adopting him. He was 3 1/2 at the time and lived to be 13 years and 3 months. I almost had 10 years with him, and it was literally the best impulsive decision I ever made, and the best gift I have ever received from anyone, much less his a total stranger.

The grief I feel over losing him is literally with me 24/7. 💔

        • Wow Jen, what a lovely story. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It WAS meant to be – bringing you all together at just the right moment. Aren’t you kind to open your heart and home to Wally❤️And how fortunate to share ten wonderful years. I hope you can bring forth happy memories in your darkest moments, and find a smile before tears in recalling those times. Your pain is real. Your grief is a part of your ongoing love for Wally. With time, I hope your love, and the many joys you shared, outweigh the pain of parting. Jen, please join us on Zoom Thursday July 17th at 7PM EST. We are a kind, understanding group who are here to support you. You are welcome to share more stories and memories of Wally here anytime for as long as you like. Here is a {{BIG HUG}} for you. Toni
