I am so sorry to hear about Mimi. She sounds like a amazing companion to you. I notice that dogs can sense when there is something wrong with their owners. I know she was a big comfort to you while you were going through pain. As we do with them. I loss my little pom on Christmas eve and I still cry. My other dogs try so hard to make me smile by doing the funniest things and I can’t help but smile and laugh at them. Loss is a healing process and if there is any time you would like to talk, I will be here for you. -

Grieving my Miss Mimi who got her wings Jan 3,2021 @ 1:15 a.m. from pnumonia
She was a rescue where I volunteered at and she adopted me a lhaso Apso 14 y.o. she used to lay on my right side of my chest and then I found out why, I was diagnosed w/a tumor in my right bottom line lung May 2020 non small cell lung cancer. She was trying to tell me. He previous human also had breast cancer double mastectomy, Mimi laid on her chest prior diagnoses. I’m so devastated that she is gone. I miss you my Meemer Steamer-

Oh Jayne…Diane is right-animals DO sense our ailments and disease. They save us in so many ways. Mimi was very sensitive and she surely knew how very much you loved, treasured, her. I think animals have a sense of their own imminent deaths and don’t view it as anything to be feared or saddened by – just another phase of life. We, of course, are devastated by their passing and our loss of their companionship and love. I hope you let us know how you are doing with your healing from both Mimi’s passing, and your own issue. I am here for you, too.

Yes, they are cute when they get their baths. They are not easy to give them a bath, for they have two coats they top fur and then they have an undercoat. But you can’t help but loving them. They have been by my side and are trying to comfort me.-
Diane, as you said to Jayne, they know when we are suffering, whether physically or emotionally. I’m glad you have them to support you. They probably miss Squirt, too, and are lucky to have you there to support them, too. Here’s a HUG for you all……

LC died during a tooth treatment and Sam was ran over in front of our house a speeding car.-
Geez, that’s horrible. You must have been shocked. I had a nine month old kitten struck by a car and know how sad and angry it can feel. Unfortunately, procedures with anesthesia can be risky for pets (and people) but it’s very caring of you to maintain LC’s dental health with a cleaning. I’m heartbroken for you and hope you stay in touch and let us know how you are feeling, and if we can lend you a shoulder – that’s what we’re here for.

LC was a toy poodle and Sam shitzu. Sam passed in October 2020. We are devastated both of our babies gone in less than a year. LC was 14 years and Sam was 1 year.-

Geez, that’s horrible. You must have been shocked. I had a nine month old kitten struck by a car and know how sad and angry it can feel. Unfortunately, procedures with anesthesia can be risky for pets (and people) but it’s very caring of you to maintain LC’s dental health with a cleaning. I’m heartbroken for you and hope you stay in touch and let us know how you are feeling, and if we can lend you a shoulder – that’s what we’re here for.

Remember 5 years, 8 months agoOn February 4th 2020 my beloved LC crossed the rainbow Bridge leaving my heart in pieces. I miss her every day. Hope to see you one day, somewhere.

Lissette, what a beauty LC was. Poodle? She is so stylish in her scarf. How old was she? Did she and Sam live together with you? What type of pet was Sam? How are you doing, Lissette? How can we support you?

Oh Diane…I am so, so sorry. Ginger lived a long life, obviously well loved by you. That makes it easier/harder – if that makes sense?? Ginger was with you for so much of your life, and intellectually we know she had a good, long run, but emotionally, it’s just heartbreaking to say goodbye. Are you doing okay? When you are up to it, will you share some pictures of Ginger with us? I will be thinking of you, as I know others in our kind community are. Hugs, Toni

Aww how cute and such a beautiful name. What kind of dog was Bella. I know your hurting and I know it takes time to heal. I lost my Ava Dawn on December 15th. I made a little memorial shrine on my computer desk. I cleared everything off and am buying, memorial items and putting them on there. I have a few candles, I burn for a little bit everyday. It seems to help me with my sadness. You can reach out to me anytime if you want someone to talk to. I love animals, and also care for others, who have a love for animals too. Sonya -

I am so sorry for your loss. I know the hurt you feel. I lost my Ava Dawn on December 15th. So I know how the love of a fur baby is. They do become our children too. I am also sorry to hear about your son. I have a son who is turning 20 in May. Do you have other children. I had my son and then a daughter. My son name is Jeremiah he is my bull frog. What was your son name. If you ever need to just talk I am here. I care a lot about other’s and I feel their pain. Reach out to me anytime. Sonya 🥰 -

Squirt was 11yrs. He was so special to me, see I got him when I was trying to deal with the death of my son. My son was 21 and passed away in a car accident. I was so lost at that time in my life and grieving. I found a lady that was giving away puppies and that is when I saw Squirt. He was the rut of the litter and I picked him up and we bonded right then. He helped me over come my grief and I started healing my pain. So now he is gone and I feel that pain again. I do have my memories and he will always be in my heart.-
Diane, my words can not convey my feelings for you. I am trying to comment, to support you, but I really don’t know what to say. You are obviously a strong, smart person who accommodates the most tremendous loss imaginable, and have a big reservoir of love in you. My heart is broken with you. I am sure our community feels the same way and joins me in wanting to hear from you – your ups and downs, your joys and tears … Please Diane, let us know how you are, and if or how we can help support you.
