Update: Okay…her blood pressure is down to normal so we’ll stay on that med, and the thyroid med. Her weight is up because of the appetite stimulant – I must say, if your pet is not eating, ask your doctor about the topical drug “Mirataz” that you simply rub in the ear. She most likely won’t regain sight. That’s terrible, but you know what? She’s adapting very nicely, knows her routes to food and the litter box, and, very importantly, seems to be in good spirits. I hope my sharing of this process is helpful and alerts everyone to ask for blood pressure tests when you go in for regular exams. Perhaps you can avoid what we’re going through.
